懸疑小說The Returned漢譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告

【摘要】:近年來,隨著大量懸疑影視劇的熱播,懸疑小說越來越受到中國讀者的青睞,但由于其屬于通俗文學(xué)的范疇,其地位仍略顯尷尬。國內(nèi)原創(chuàng)作品水平不高,國外引進(jìn)的譯文質(zhì)量欠佳,針對翻譯的研究不夠深入。這些都說明當(dāng)代懸疑小說的翻譯問題未引起足夠的重視。本文通過The Returned的漢譯實(shí)踐,對懸疑小說翻譯提出一些自己的看法。懸疑小說,顧名思義就是通過制造懸念來吸引讀者的閱讀興趣。與其它作品相比,它側(cè)重于神秘、恐怖氣氛的烘托。而環(huán)境描寫、心理描寫和聲音效果的運(yùn)用,對于氣氛的渲染起著至關(guān)重要的作用。如何將這種渲染效果在翻譯成另一國語言文字的情況下取到同等的效果,如何讓它在不同文化背景下的社會獲得讀者對等的反應(yīng),是懸疑小說翻譯的一個(gè)重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)。要解決這一問題,翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換的運(yùn)用就在所難免。不少西方翻譯理論家都對翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換進(jìn)行了研究,其中卡特福德的理論影響最大;眾多中國翻譯研究者在其介紹西方翻譯理論的著作中,大多是以卡特福德的理論為例,足以證明卡特福德翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論在翻譯研究方面得到了廣泛的認(rèn)可。本文以懸疑小說的代表作之一《亡者歸來》中第十八、十九章的翻譯為例,根據(jù)懸疑小說的特點(diǎn),使用卡特福德的翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論作為指導(dǎo),擬對譯文在詞匯、句法、語法等層面發(fā)生的層次轉(zhuǎn)換、結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)換、類別轉(zhuǎn)換和單位轉(zhuǎn)換等現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行探討。通過筆者的翻譯實(shí)踐,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)不同的翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換獲得的效果是不一樣的,尤其是在營造氛圍和讀者反應(yīng)上有著千差萬別。在翻譯的過程中,要時(shí)刻注意譯文與原文的轉(zhuǎn)換,盡量做到尊重原作,保留原文制造的懸疑效果,同時(shí)要考慮讀者的反應(yīng)。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the popularity of a large number of suspense movies and TV dramas, suspense novels are more and more popular among Chinese readers, but because they belong to the category of popular literature, their status is still slightly awkward. The level of original works in China is not high, the quality of translation imported from abroad is poor, and the research on translation is not deep enough. All these show that the translation of contemporary suspense novels has not attracted enough attention. Based on The Returned's translation into Chinese, this paper puts forward some views on the translation of suspense novels. Suspense novels, by definition, attract readers' interest by creating suspense. Compared with other works, it focuses on mysterious, scary atmosphere. The use of environmental description, psychological description and sound effect plays an important role in the rendering of atmosphere. How to get the same effect in the case of translation into another language and how to get the readers' equivalent response in different cultural backgrounds is an important and difficult point in the translation of suspense novels. In order to solve this problem, the application of translation transformation is inevitable. Many western translation theorists have studied translation transformation, among which Catford's theory has the greatest influence. Many Chinese translation researchers take Catford's theory as an example in their works on western translation theory. It is enough to prove that Catford's translation theory has been widely accepted in translation studies. Based on the translation of Chapter 18 and Chapter 19 in the return of the Dead, one of the masterpieces of the suspense novel, this paper, based on the characteristics of the suspense novel, uses Catford's translation theory as a guide to study the lexical and syntactic aspects of the translation. The phenomena of hierarchical transformation, structural transformation, category conversion and unit conversion are discussed. Through the author's translation practice, the author finds that the effect of different translation transformation is different, especially in creating atmosphere and readers' reaction. In the process of translation, we should always pay attention to the conversion between the original text and the original text, respect the original work as far as possible, preserve the suspense effect of the original text, and consider the reader's reaction at the same time.
