【摘要】：在傳統(tǒng)美學史家眼里,作為實用主義哲學家的杜威很難稱得上是一位名副其實的美學家。但事實上,杜威以一部厚重的著作向我們?nèi)娴卣撌隽怂拿缹W思想。除此之外,他的美學思想滲透于他關于教育、倫理、政治等一系列著作里。在此意義上,杜威的實用主義美學不僅自成一體,而且也很有創(chuàng)新精神,值得我們認真對待。與其說他的美學是另一種"藝術哲學",不如講是一種"生活詩學"。它不僅僅局限于藝術家的創(chuàng)造性活動,同樣涉及整個人類文明的發(fā)展。從這個方面講,杜威的美學思想尤其值得我們關注,因為這是一種以人性的培養(yǎng)和人格的塑造為中心的、具有開放性的"大美學"。
[Abstract]:Dewey, as a pragmatist philosopher, is hardly a true esthetician in the eyes of traditional aestheticians. But in fact, Dewey gave us a comprehensive account of his aesthetic thoughts in a heavy book. His aesthetic thoughts permeated a series of works on education, ethics, politics and so on. In this sense, Dewey's pragmatic aesthetics was not only self-contained, but also very innovative. It is worth taking seriously. His aesthetics is not so much a "philosophy of art" as a "poetics of life". It is not limited to the creative activities of artists, but also to the development of human civilization as a whole. Dewey's aesthetic thought is especially worthy of our attention, because it is an open "grand aesthetics" centered on the cultivation of human nature and the shaping of personality.
