【摘要】：文以載道，中國古詩作為中華民族精神的重要載體，在當(dāng)今文化大交融的時代，成為了傳輸中國傳統(tǒng)文化的重要渠道，也使得越來越多的國內(nèi)外學(xué)者投身于中國古詩的翻譯中來。然而，中國古詩英譯，絕非簡單的語言轉(zhuǎn)換過程，而是要還原其意境與情趣。在這方面，汪榕培教授的古詩英譯技巧非常具有指導(dǎo)性。一是他在古詩英譯實踐中做到了“以詩譯詩，形神皆似”；二是其譯作大多遵循他所提出的“傳神達(dá)意”這一古詩英譯原則及其翻譯技巧。 本文主要研究汪榕培教授詩歌英譯的翻譯技巧，圍繞著汪教授古詩英譯的翻譯技巧的特點和這些翻譯技巧在其翻譯實踐中的體現(xiàn)來展開研究。 基于以上研究問題，本文以《詩經(jīng)》、《陶淵明集》、《漢魏六朝詩三百首》、《楓橋夜泊》四部作品作為研究對象，選擇了Arthur Waley，James Legge，Burton Watson和許淵沖等人的英譯版本與汪教授的譯本進行對比研究，通過分析，證明了汪教授在譯詩過程中如何運用保持原詩的風(fēng)貌、再現(xiàn)原詩的意象、忠實的傳達(dá)原詩的內(nèi)容、關(guān)注讀者的感受四個翻譯技巧，使其翻譯作品做到“形神皆似”、“傳神達(dá)意”。
