文化詩學視角下的林語堂翻譯研究

【摘要】： 林語堂是一個享有盛譽的文學家和翻譯家，，然而譯界對其翻譯理論和翻譯作品的研究尚未達到與其他翻譯家相比的深度和規(guī)模。近年來，研究的主要方向是林語堂的翻譯美學思想。作為中國歷史上第一個從翻譯的角度論“美”的翻譯家，林語掌首次提出了翻譯的美學思想，對中國譯界產(chǎn)生了深遠影響。 本文試圖在“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”的大背景下重新審視林語堂的翻譯觀�！皟赡_踏東西文化，一心評宇宙文章”的文學家、翻譯家林語堂先生在文學、語言學和中外文化交流等眾多領域都取得了巨大的成就，這些成就無疑對他的翻譯思想和翻譯實踐具有潛移默化的影響。論文縱觀林語堂先生的生平閱歷、文化念度、文學創(chuàng)作、翻譯理論和實踐以及中西文化交流活動，提出林語堂的翻譯理論與實踐與他的文化態(tài)度、美學思想以及中西文化觀點相互交融，認為文化詩學觀能夠更加全面地概括林語堂的翻譯觀。 翻譯與詩學有著千絲萬縷的聯(lián)系。翻譯的文化詩學產(chǎn)生于翻譯的文化轉(zhuǎn)向中，它從文化的視野、多學科的空間研究文學翻譯這一充滿詩性品質(zhì)的跨文化活動，為翻譯理論研究和中西翻譯理論的平等對話提供了一個新的視角。 論文以林語堂著名譯作《浮生六記》作為個案研究，考察他作為中西文化交流的使者，對文化詞語和意境、意象的特殊而又成功的處理，驗證林語堂的翻譯思想和實踐體現(xiàn)了翻譯的文化詩學。
[Abstract]:Lin Yutang is a renowned writer and translator. However, the study of his translation theory and works has not reached the depth and scale compared with other translators. In recent years, the main research direction is Lin Yutang's translation aesthetics. As the first translator in Chinese history to discuss "beauty" from the perspective of translation, Lin Yu-chang put forward the aesthetic thought of translation for the first time, which has exerted a profound influence on the Chinese translation circle. This paper attempts to re-examine Lin Yutang's views on translation in the context of the Cultural turn. Lin Yutang, the writer and translator of "two feet on the East and the West, one of the articles on the Universe," has made great achievements in many fields, such as literature, linguistics, and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. These achievements undoubtedly have a subtle influence on his translation thought and practice. This paper reviews Lin Yutang's life experience, cultural reading, literary creation, translation theory and practice, as well as cultural exchange activities between China and the West, and puts forward Lin Yutang's translation theory and practice and his cultural attitude. Aesthetic thought and Chinese and Western cultural views are intermingled, and it is believed that cultural poetics can generalize Lin Yutang's translation view more comprehensively. Translation and poetics are inextricably linked. The cultural poetics of translation comes from the cultural turn of translation. It studies literary translation as a cross-cultural activity full of poetic qualities from the perspective of culture and multi-disciplinary space. It provides a new perspective for the study of translation theory and the equal dialogue between Chinese and western translation theories. Taking Lin Yutang's famous translation of "six chapters of floating Life" as a case study, this paper examines his special and successful handling of cultural words and artistic conception and imagery as a messenger of cultural exchange between China and the West. The verification of Lin Yutang's translation thought and practice embodies the cultural poetics of translation.
