從陌生化的視角看張培基散文翻譯作品中審美感的實(shí)現(xiàn)

【摘要】:陌生化是俄國形式主義的核心思想。陌生化指的就是作者有意識創(chuàng)造的,能給理解過程制造難度,從而讓讀者產(chǎn)生新鮮獨(dú)特的審美享受的語言手段。陌生化的存在對文學(xué)作品的翻譯來說是一個(gè)挑戰(zhàn),譯者不僅要再現(xiàn)原文的陌生化手法,也要從陌生化的角度建構(gòu)譯作的藝術(shù)價(jià)值,避免將源語文本歸化成目的語讀者所熟知的或顯而易見的形式和內(nèi)容。譯者要借助保留源語文本中陌生化的語言和文化或?qū)⒃凑Z文本中的陌生化的語言文化特征與其對應(yīng)的目的語文本的語言文化特征相結(jié)合創(chuàng)造新的陌生化這兩種手段使文學(xué)翻譯作品陌生化,增加目的語讀者的新奇感,以延長審美主體的關(guān)注時(shí)間和關(guān)注難度,從而增加審美感。 張培基是散文翻譯實(shí)踐的代表人物,長期投身于中國現(xiàn)代散文的英譯實(shí)踐,譯作豐富。以《英譯中國現(xiàn)代散文》為代表的散文作品給讀者帶來如同讀原文一樣的審美享受,廣受好評。散文是重要的文學(xué)體裁,本身就注重通過陌生化手段使讀者產(chǎn)生美的享受和美的體驗(yàn)。這種陌生化的審美感也必須讓譯語讀者所感受。但是一直以來散文翻譯的研究滯后于其它文學(xué)體材的翻譯,而且研究不夠深入。張培基認(rèn)識到了散文創(chuàng)作中存在著陌生化的手段,因此提出譯文的通順程度要與原文一致,忠實(shí)比通順更重要。這種忠實(shí)化的策略與陌生化翻譯策略有異曲同工之妙;他認(rèn)為漢語散文承載了中國文化,是可譯也是值得翻譯的,在不違背譯文語言規(guī)范的條件下,直譯可以引進(jìn)新的詞語和句子,為譯入語文化注入新鮮血液,從而帶來陌生化的審美感,,直譯優(yōu)于意譯。張培基的這些思想與陌生化思想都有想通之處,必然體現(xiàn)在他的翻譯作品之中。 本文基于陌生化理論,依托張培基的散文英譯作品《英譯中國現(xiàn)代散文選》,從選材、形式方面的審美價(jià)值、非形式方面的審美價(jià)值、文化等方面來探討張培基在其譯作中為審美感的實(shí)現(xiàn)所采取的陌生化翻譯策略,從而證明了陌生化翻譯策略運(yùn)用于散文翻譯的可行性,為張培基的散文翻譯研究提供了陌生化的視角,為散文翻譯的研究和實(shí)踐提供一定的借鑒和參考。
[Abstract]:Defamiliarization is the core thought of Russian formalism. Strangeness refers to the language means created by the author consciously, which can make the process of understanding difficult and make the reader have fresh and unique aesthetic enjoyment. The existence of strangeness is a challenge to the translation of literary works. The translator should not only reproduce the strangeness of the original text, but also construct the artistic value of the translation from the angle of strangeness. Avoid converting the source language into forms and contents that are familiar or obvious to the target language reader. The translator should create new defamiliarization by reserving the language and culture of the source language or combining the strangeness of the language and culture of the source language with the corresponding linguistic and cultural characteristics of the target language. The paragraph defamiliarizes literary translation, The novelty of the target language readers is increased to prolong the attention time and difficulty of the aesthetic subject so as to increase the aesthetic perception. Zhang Peiji, a representative of prose translation practice, has long devoted himself to the English translation of modern Chinese prose. The prose works, represented by Modern Chinese Prose translated from English, bring readers the same aesthetic enjoyment as the original text. Prose is an important literary genre, which pays attention to the enjoyment and experience of beauty by means of defamiliarization. This unfamiliarizing aesthetic sense must also be felt by the target readers. But the study of prose translation lags behind the translation of other literary materials, and the study is not deep enough. Zhang Peiji realized that there is a means of defamiliarization in prose creation, so he proposed that the degree of smoothness of the translation should be consistent with the original text, and faithfulness is more important than smoothness. This strategy of faithfulness is similar to that of defamiliarization; He believes that Chinese prose bears Chinese culture and is translatable and worthy of translation. Without violating the language norms of the target language, literal translation can introduce new words and sentences and inject fresh blood into the target culture. Therefore, it brings about a sense of strangeness, and literal translation is superior to free translation. Zhang Peiji's thoughts and defamiliarization thoughts have some ideas, which are bound to be reflected in his translation works. Based on the theory of defamiliarization, this paper relies on Zhang Peiji's English translation of prose works "selected Modern Chinese Prose in English Translation", the aesthetic value of material selection, form aspect, non-formal aspect aesthetic value. In this paper, the author discusses Zhang Peiji's strategy of unfamiliarization in his translation, which proves the feasibility of applying the strategy to prose translation. It provides a defamiliarization perspective for Zhang Peiji's prose translation studies and provides some references for the study and practice of prose translation.
