語(yǔ)域理論在《京華煙云》漢譯中的應(yīng)用

【摘要】: 作為世界聞名的作家和學(xué)者,林語(yǔ)堂在國(guó)際文壇上占有一席之地,他向國(guó)內(nèi)外讀者貢獻(xiàn)了大量的著作,這些作品構(gòu)成了架構(gòu)中西文化鴻溝之間的一座橋梁。在他最有影響力的長(zhǎng)篇小說《京華煙云》中,他把博大精深的中國(guó)文化介紹給世界,從而四次成為諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的候選人。該書有多個(gè)中文譯本,其中張振玉的譯本在中國(guó)大陸及臺(tái)灣、香港地區(qū)一版再版,具有旺盛的生命力。本文試圖從語(yǔ)域分析的角度分析該小說的漢譯,闡明語(yǔ)域分析對(duì)小說翻譯過程和翻譯批評(píng)的價(jià)值和指導(dǎo)意義,從而探索小說翻譯的主要特征和規(guī)律,并從語(yǔ)域分析角度論證張振玉譯本的成功之處。本文除了引言和結(jié)語(yǔ)外,共分為六個(gè)部分。 引言部分簡(jiǎn)明扼要地介紹本文的主題和基本結(jié)構(gòu): 第一章介紹語(yǔ)域理論及其在翻譯中的應(yīng)用,回顧了其歷時(shí)、共時(shí)研究過程,對(duì)語(yǔ)域理論的三個(gè)變量及其與語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)之間的關(guān)系進(jìn)行說明。 第二章簡(jiǎn)要介紹小說《京華煙云》的中譯本,尤其是本文所涉及中譯本的概況。 第三章對(duì)小說中不同語(yǔ)場(chǎng)的翻譯進(jìn)行分析,包括:書信、禱文、海報(bào)、公函等,指出他們與文學(xué)文體相比所特有的文體特點(diǎn)及翻譯策略。 第四章主要分析小說中不同語(yǔ)式的翻譯,詳細(xì)比較了書面詩(shī)詞和口頭歌謠的翻譯區(qū)別。 第五章探討小說中不同語(yǔ)旨的翻譯,這部分主要對(duì)影響語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)旨的主要幾個(gè)因素進(jìn)行分析,包括正式性、禮貌性、無人稱性和可接受性。 第六章指出將語(yǔ)域理論應(yīng)用到翻譯實(shí)踐中的重要意義和局限性。 結(jié)語(yǔ)部分對(duì)全文進(jìn)行了總結(jié)歸納。
[Abstract]:As a world-famous writer and scholar, Lin Yutang occupies a place in the international literary world. He has contributed a lot of works to the readers at home and abroad. These works constitute a bridge between the construction of the cultural gap between China and the West. In his most influential novel, "the smoke of Beijing", he introduced the profound Chinese culture to the world and became the Nobel Prize candidate for literature four times. There are a number of Chinese versions of the book, including Zhang Zhenyu in mainland China and Taiwan, Hong Kong region, a reprint, has a strong vitality. This paper attempts to analyze the Chinese translation of the novel from the perspective of register analysis, to clarify the value and guiding significance of register analysis in the process of translation and the translation criticism, so as to explore the main features and rules of novel translation. The success of Zhang Zhenyu's translation is demonstrated from the perspective of register analysis. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into six parts. The introduction briefly introduces the theme and basic structure of the thesis: chapter one introduces register theory and its application in translation, and reviews its diachronic and synchronic research process. The relationship between the three variables of register theory and the language system is explained. The second chapter briefly introduces the Chinese translation of the novel, especially the general situation of the Chinese version. The third chapter analyzes the translation of different language fields in the novel, including letters, prayers, posters, official letters and so on, and points out their unique stylistic characteristics and translation strategies compared with literary style. Chapter four mainly analyzes the translation of different languages in the novel, and compares the translation differences between written poems and oral ballads in detail. Chapter five discusses the translation of different tenets in the novel, which mainly analyzes the main factors affecting the text tenor, including formality, politeness, inpersonal and acceptability. Chapter six points out the significance and limitation of applying register theory to translation practice. The conclusion part summarizes the full text.
