【摘要】： 宋詞是我國歷史悠久的傳統(tǒng)文化中的瑰寶奇葩,也是世界文化寶庫中的璀璨明珠。宋詞的外譯是弘揚(yáng)中華文化的一項(xiàng)重要內(nèi)容,是溝通中西文化的一個(gè)重要橋梁。作為“詩譯英法唯一人”的許淵沖,在古詩英譯方面做出了極大的貢獻(xiàn),他精心選錄了宋詞三百首將其翻譯成英語。英譯本的宋詞引起了廣泛關(guān)注,并且眾多學(xué)者開始對(duì)其進(jìn)行理論上和翻譯策略上的研究。但是他們的研究以定性為主,并且大多研究是以一篇或幾篇選定的宋詞及其譯文作為研究對(duì)象,未能從宏觀角度進(jìn)行定量分析。為了彌補(bǔ)定性研究的局限性和片面性,本文將定性和定量方法相結(jié)合,通過自建的小型語料庫對(duì)宋詞三百首及許淵沖的譯文進(jìn)行分析研究。分析從兩個(gè)方面展開,一方面分析許淵沖的譯文與原文相比是否具有翻譯的普遍性特征,即,簡單化、外顯化和規(guī)范化,另一方面,對(duì)許淵沖在翻譯過程中使用的策略尤其是補(bǔ)償策略進(jìn)行了研究。研究結(jié)果表明,譯文比原文更加明確、易懂,并且符合英語的語法規(guī)則,確實(shí)具有翻譯的普遍性特征,而在翻譯過程中補(bǔ)償策略的運(yùn)用使中詩外譯成為可能并達(dá)到良好效果。此外,研究還表明翻譯的普遍性特征與翻譯補(bǔ)償策略有著不可分割的相互關(guān)系。本文通過科學(xué)的方法驗(yàn)證了翻譯的普遍性特征存在于中詩外譯當(dāng)中。
[Abstract]:Song ci is a treasure in Chinese traditional culture with a long history, and also a bright pearl in the treasure house of world culture. The translation of Song ci is an important content of carrying forward Chinese culture and an important bridge between Chinese and western cultures. As the only man in translating poetry from English to French, Xu Yuanchong has made great contributions to the translation of ancient poetry into English. He carefully selected three hundred songs from Song Dynasty and translated them into English. The Song ci in English translation has attracted much attention, and many scholars have begun to study it theoretically and in translation strategies. However, their studies are mainly qualitative, and most of them focus on one or more selected Song ci poems and their translations, and fail to make quantitative analysis from a macro perspective. In order to make up for the limitation and one-sidedness of qualitative research, this paper combines qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and study the translation of 300 Song ci poems and Xu Yuanchong through a small corpus built by ourselves. The analysis is carried out from two aspects. On the one hand, it analyzes whether the translation of Xu Yuanchong has the universal characteristics of translation, that is, simplification, explicit and standardization, and on the other hand, whether the translation of Xu Yuanchong has the characteristics of universality. This paper studies the strategies used by Xu Yuanchong in the translation process, especially the compensation strategy. The results show that the translation is clearer, easier to understand and conforms to the grammatical rules of English, and indeed has the universal characteristics of translation. The use of compensatory strategies in the process of translation makes it possible and effective to translate Chinese poems out of the world. In addition, the study also shows that the universality of translation is inextricably related to translation compensation strategies. This paper verifies the universality of translation in the translation of Chinese poetry through scientific methods.
