【摘要】： 美國(guó)語(yǔ)言人類(lèi)學(xué)家帕爾默構(gòu)建文化語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論,豐富和發(fā)展了人類(lèi)語(yǔ)言學(xué)的三大傳統(tǒng),即博厄斯派語(yǔ)言學(xué)、民族語(yǔ)義學(xué)和會(huì)話民俗學(xué),他認(rèn)為將其與認(rèn)知語(yǔ)言學(xué)結(jié)合起來(lái),便可產(chǎn)生一種對(duì)語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象更具解釋力的新的理論,即文化語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論。 文化語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論最顯著的特點(diǎn)就是關(guān)注意象,并把意象作為其核心概念之一,文化語(yǔ)言學(xué)實(shí)際上就是一門(mén)關(guān)于心象的理論。帕爾默所指意象既包括我們腦海中所呈現(xiàn)出的圖像,也包括人通過(guò)各種感覺(jué)器官所獲得的意象。帕爾默強(qiáng)調(diào)意象是以經(jīng)驗(yàn)為基礎(chǔ)的,幾乎所有意象都是由社會(huì)文化和個(gè)人經(jīng)驗(yàn)的累積構(gòu)建而成。意象與特定語(yǔ)言、特定文化之間有著密切關(guān)系,帕爾默試圖以意象為窗口研究不同文化不同語(yǔ)言使用者的思維模式。其理論對(duì)中詩(shī)英譯的意象如實(shí)傳達(dá)具有一定的指導(dǎo)意義。 山水田園詩(shī)源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng),在中國(guó)古典詩(shī)詞中占有重要地位,其英譯對(duì)于促進(jìn)中西文化交流有著重要意義。唐代山水田園詩(shī)達(dá)到頂峰。王維、孟浩然是唐代山水田園詩(shī)的代表人物,本文對(duì)王孟四首山水田園詩(shī)及其譯本進(jìn)行比較研究,擬從帕爾默文化語(yǔ)言學(xué)視角探討王孟山水田園詩(shī)的意象再造,探討譯者應(yīng)如何如實(shí)傳達(dá)山水田園詩(shī)中的文化意象,以期為山水田園詩(shī)的英譯帶來(lái)更多啟示,從而更好的促進(jìn)中西文化交流與相互理解。
[Abstract]:Palmer, an American language anthropologist, constructs the theory of cultural linguistics, which enriches and develops the three traditions of human linguistics, namely, Boyce linguistics, national semantics and conversational folklore, which he considers to be combined with cognitive linguistics. A new theory, cultural linguistics, can be developed to explain linguistic phenomena. The most prominent feature of cultural linguistics theory is to pay attention to image and to regard image as one of its core concepts. Cultural linguistics is actually a theory of mental imagery. Palmer refers to both the images presented in our minds and the images obtained by human beings through various sensory organs. Palmer emphasizes that imagery is based on experience, and almost all images are constructed by the accumulation of social culture and personal experience. Image is closely related to specific language and culture. Palmer tries to study the thinking patterns of different language users in different cultures by using imagery as a window. His theory has certain guiding significance to convey the image truthfully in the translation of Chinese poetry into English. Landscape pastoral poetry has a long history and plays an important role in Chinese classical poetry. Its translation into English plays an important role in promoting the cultural exchange between China and the West. Landscape idyllic poetry reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty. Wang Wei and Meng Haoran are the representative figures of landscape idyllic poems in Tang Dynasty. This paper makes a comparative study of the four landscape idyllic poems by Wang Meng and their translations, and probes into the reconstruction of the imagery of Wang Meng's landscape pastoral poems from the perspective of Palmer's cultural linguistics. This paper probes into how translators can truthfully convey the cultural images in landscape pastoral poems in order to bring more enlightenment to the English translation of landscape idyllic poems and to promote the cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and the West.
