【摘要】： 在當(dāng)代翻譯研究中,文學(xué)翻譯已不再局限于傳統(tǒng)的對源語文本與目的語文本的研究,而是將其他諸多翻譯因素也納入其研究范圍。本文嘗試從德國功能主義翻譯理論出發(fā),運用其核心理論目的論對兩文學(xué)譯本進行翻譯批評,論證功能翻譯理論同樣適用于文學(xué)翻譯。文章介紹和分析了構(gòu)成功能主義翻譯理論的主要理論和原則,將其運用到林語堂的著名英文原著小說Moment in Peking的兩個權(quán)威中譯本的對比分析中,從一個嶄新的研究角度對文學(xué)翻譯的策略和標準進行評價。 本文共六章,第二章首先介紹了Moment in Peking的作者,譯者,創(chuàng)作意圖,翻譯背景等各翻譯要素,第三章回顧了20世紀70年代德國出現(xiàn)的功能派翻譯理論,并根據(jù)諾德的觀點闡述了功能翻譯在文學(xué)翻譯上的適用性。第四章運用目的論中的兩大原則連貫性和充分性,從語言的角度對Moment in Peking的兩個中譯本進行對比分析。在典型的實例對比分析后,筆者總結(jié)了兩譯本在語言上的翻譯特點,即張譯本語言自然流暢但譯文缺乏文化表現(xiàn)力,郁譯本在文化翻譯上強于張譯但語病較多等。第五章根據(jù)功能翻譯論觀點,對文學(xué)翻譯中的非語言要素的影響及它們在Moment in Peking的譯本中的體現(xiàn)進行對比分析。該章從幾個不同的非語言因素對二譯本的文本效果進行分析,并盡量挖掘譯者決策的原因,最后得出譯者的決策應(yīng)該建立在平衡各種因素的相互作用力上。在文章的第六章,筆者得出了德國功能主義翻譯理論同樣適用于文學(xué)翻譯和翻譯批評的結(jié)論。同時呼吁精通京腔的譯者,結(jié)合前人的研究成果,再譯Moment in Peking,以彌補林語堂先生和漢語讀者的遺憾。 功能翻譯理論超越了傳統(tǒng)對等理論的限制,將文本、參與者和目的語環(huán)境等因素有機的結(jié)合起來并納入了一定的研究體系,這樣一種翻譯理論正符合翻譯批評發(fā)展的需要,它對翻譯實踐有著更現(xiàn)實的指導(dǎo)意義。當(dāng)然,任何翻譯理論都有局限性,功能翻譯論也不例外。筆者在文章中始終以客觀的批判態(tài)度將功能翻譯論運用于兩中譯本的對比研究中,挖掘其積極貢獻,同時也盡量減少其局限性帶來的消極影響。
[Abstract]:In contemporary translation studies, literary translation is no longer confined to the traditional study of the source language and the target language, but also includes many other translation factors. Based on the German functionalist translation theory, this paper attempts to criticize the translation of the two literary versions with its core Skopos theory, and proves that the functional translation theory is also applicable to literary translation. This paper introduces and analyzes the main theories and principles that constitute the functionalist translation theory, and applies it to the comparative analysis of the two authoritative Chinese versions of Lin Yutang's famous English original novel, Moment in Peking. This paper evaluates the strategies and standards of literary translation from a new perspective. There are six chapters in this thesis. The second chapter introduces the author, translator, intention and background of Moment in Peking. Chapter three reviews the functional translation theory that appeared in Germany in the 1970s. The applicability of functional translation in literary translation is discussed according to Nord's view. Chapter four makes a comparative analysis of the two Chinese versions of Moment in Peking from the perspective of language using the coherence and adequacy of the two major principles of Skopos theory. After a comparative analysis of typical examples, the author summarizes the translation characteristics of the two versions, that is, Zhang's version is naturally fluent but its translation lacks cultural expressiveness, and the Yu version is stronger in cultural translation than Zhang's, but has more language defects and so on. Chapter five makes a contrastive analysis of the influence of non-linguistic elements in literary translation and their embodiment in the translation of Moment in Peking from the perspective of functional translation theory. This chapter analyzes the text effect of the second translation from several different non-linguistic factors, and tries to dig out the reasons for the translator's decision. Finally, it concludes that the translator's decision should be based on balancing the interaction of various factors. In the sixth chapter, the author draws the conclusion that the German functionalist translation theory is also applicable to literary translation and translation criticism. At the same time, the translator who is proficient in Beijing is called upon to retranslate Moment in Peking, to make up for the regret of Mr. Lin Yutang and Chinese readers. Functional translation theory transcends the limitations of traditional equivalence theory and combines the text, participants and target language environment into a certain research system. This translation theory meets the needs of the development of translation criticism. It has more realistic guiding significance to translation practice. Of course, any translation theory has its limitations, and functional translation theory is no exception. The author applies functional translation theory to the contrastive study of the two Chinese versions in an objective and critical manner in order to explore its positive contribution and to minimize the negative effects of its limitations at the same time.
