女性主義翻譯理論視角下《紅樓夢(mèng)》兩譯本的對(duì)比研究

【摘要】:長(zhǎng)期以來(lái),在翻譯理論的發(fā)展歷程中,翻譯與譯者一直都處在邊緣化的地位。隨著西方女權(quán)主義運(yùn)動(dòng)的發(fā)展,女性主義理論在學(xué)術(shù)界激起了強(qiáng)烈反響。二十世紀(jì)七十年代,翻譯界著名的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”激發(fā)了女性主義與翻譯文化研究的結(jié)合,女性主義翻譯觀隨之產(chǎn)生并逐步發(fā)展。女性主義翻譯觀為女性主義的發(fā)展及其對(duì)傳統(tǒng)社會(huì)意識(shí)的反叛提供了強(qiáng)有力的理論基礎(chǔ)。女性主義翻譯觀是從女性主義的立場(chǎng)出發(fā),盡量使女性在翻譯語(yǔ)言中顯現(xiàn),從而讓讀者能夠看見女性。 《紅樓夢(mèng)》是中華四大古典名著之一,被翻譯成多種文字在世界廣為流傳,曹雪芹在書中塑造了諸多聰慧美麗的女性,因此這些人物形象能否原汁原味地呈現(xiàn)在譯本中就變得尤為重要。本文作者從女性主義翻譯的角度考察了楊憲益戴乃迭夫婦與霍克斯及閔福德的兩個(gè)譯本。本文從《紅樓夢(mèng)》的兩譯本中挑選一定數(shù)量的具有女性主義特色的句子或段落,,從女性形象與情感的翻譯等方面進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析,試圖探索兩位譯者在再現(xiàn)女性性格層面是否存在差異,譯者是否在翻譯中有意或無(wú)意識(shí)地拔高或貶低著作中的女性形象。從文中選取的例子來(lái)看,兩譯本各有其風(fēng)格特點(diǎn),但霍克斯的譯本更貼切地再現(xiàn)了原文中女性的特色,明顯地體現(xiàn)了女性主義翻譯理論的思想。 對(duì)《紅樓夢(mèng)》其英譯本的研究自從二十世紀(jì)七十年代以來(lái)便引起越來(lái)越多的國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者的關(guān)注。但從女性主義翻譯的角度深入全面地探討兩個(gè)譯本不同的因素還比較少,尚處在發(fā)展階段。本文作者把女性主義翻譯理論應(yīng)用到了《紅樓夢(mèng)》翻譯作品的翻譯批評(píng)中,以期促進(jìn)女主義翻譯理論的應(yīng)用,同時(shí)豐富《紅樓夢(mèng)》翻譯作品的研究。
[Abstract]:For a long time, in the course of the development of translation theory, translation and translators have been placed in a marginalized position. With the development of the Western feminist movement, feminist theory has aroused strong repercussions in the academic circles. "A dream of Red Mansions" is one of the four great classical masterpiece, has been translated into many languages in the world wide, Cao Xueqin created many brilliant and beautiful women in the book, so these characters can show the original becomes particularly important in translation. The author of this article from the perspective of feminist translation in the two versions Yang Xianyi Dai Naidie and Hawkes Min Fude. Study on "a dream of Red Mansions" of its English version since 1970s has attracted more and more attention of scholars at home and abroad. But from the perspective of feminist translation thoroughly explore the factors of two different versions is still relatively small, it is still in the development stage. The author applies the theory of Feminist Translation to "a dream of Red Mansions" the translation of translation criticism, in order to promote the application of feminist translation theory, and enrich the research of "a dream of Red Mansions" of translation works.
