順應(yīng)論視角下《雪花與秘密的扇子》的異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作與無(wú)根回譯研究

【摘要】:異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作是隱形的跨語(yǔ)言跨文化中譯英現(xiàn)象,是一種文化翻譯寫(xiě)作;無(wú)根回譯是跨語(yǔ)言文化內(nèi)的英譯中翻譯。Snow Flower and the Secret Fan是美國(guó)2005年暢銷(xiāo)書(shū),是用英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)成的有關(guān)中國(guó)文化的小說(shuō),屬于異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作,而它的中文翻譯屬于無(wú)根回譯。它的創(chuàng)作涉及大量中國(guó)民俗風(fēng)情節(jié)日地理和俗語(yǔ)經(jīng)典等,對(duì)它的異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作與無(wú)根回譯進(jìn)行探討,有利于中國(guó)元素的傳播。本研究以鄺麗莎的英文小說(shuō)Snow Flower and the Secret Fan與忻元潔中譯本為研究對(duì)象,以順應(yīng)論的核心思想——語(yǔ)言使用是不斷做出選擇與順應(yīng)的過(guò)程作為理論基礎(chǔ),探討中英文版本在異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作與無(wú)根回譯的過(guò)程中,作者和譯者所做出的語(yǔ)言選擇與翻譯方法選擇,以及這些選擇是順應(yīng)原語(yǔ)語(yǔ)境還是譯語(yǔ)語(yǔ)境,旨在探討作者在異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作中如何跨語(yǔ)言跨文化表現(xiàn)中國(guó)文化,以及譯者在無(wú)根回譯中如何重構(gòu)中國(guó)讀者熟悉的中國(guó)文化。 本研究發(fā)現(xiàn):1)在Snow Flower and the Secret Fan的異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作過(guò)程中,其語(yǔ)言選擇在宏觀方面,作者選擇使用互文,文內(nèi)解釋和副標(biāo)題;在微觀方面,作者選擇大量使用斜體的漢語(yǔ)拼音,創(chuàng)造性的中式英語(yǔ),形象化詞語(yǔ),中式修辭等,同時(shí)也有少量英語(yǔ)獨(dú)有的同音詞修辭習(xí)語(yǔ)。在翻譯方法選擇方面,主要有:音譯、直譯、意譯、替代和合譯。2)在Snow Flower and the SecretFan的無(wú)根回譯過(guò)程中,其語(yǔ)言選擇在宏觀方面,譯者在章節(jié)層面添加目錄頁(yè),,選擇原文中的副標(biāo)題作為主標(biāo)題;在微觀方面,譯者選擇大量使用四字格,文化負(fù)載詞,具體詞和少量文言文。在翻譯方法選擇方面,主要有:替代、省略、增詞、意譯和直譯。3)在Snow Flower and theSecret Fan的異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作過(guò)程中,其語(yǔ)言選擇與翻譯方法選擇以順應(yīng)原語(yǔ)為主,而在無(wú)根回譯過(guò)程中,其語(yǔ)言選擇與翻譯方法選擇以順應(yīng)譯語(yǔ)為主。4)中英文版本的作者和譯者做出的任何語(yǔ)言選擇和翻譯方法選擇都是為了順應(yīng)現(xiàn)代中英文目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者。此項(xiàng)研究結(jié)果對(duì)同類文本的研究有啟示意義:在異語(yǔ)創(chuàng)作過(guò)程中,可以選擇音譯,直譯,形象化詞語(yǔ)等,靈活運(yùn)用意譯,互文,解釋等,以保持中國(guó)文化的原味并讓讀者理解接受;在無(wú)根回譯過(guò)程中,翻譯方法可選擇替代,省略等,語(yǔ)言上可選擇四字格,文化詞等,盡量避免翻譯腔,使語(yǔ)言地道準(zhǔn)確流暢。
[Abstract]:Interlanguage creation is an invisible cross-cultural phenomenon in English translation, which is a kind of cultural translation writing, and rootless translation is a cross-cultural translation of English translation. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is the best seller in the United States in 2005.Is a novel about Chinese culture written in English, belongs to the foreign language creation, and its Chinese translation belongs to the rootless translation.Its creation involves a large number of Chinese folk customs?Holiday geography and colloquial classics are beneficial to the spread of Chinese elements.The present study focuses on the Chinese versions of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and Xin Yuanjie, and takes the core idea of adaptation theory, which is the process of making choices and adaptations, as the theoretical basis.This paper probes into the language choices and translation methods made by the author and the translator in the process of foreign language creation and rootless translation, and whether these choices are adapted to the context of the source language or the context of the target language.The purpose of this paper is to explore how the author expresses Chinese culture across languages and cultures in his foreign language creation and how the translator reconstructs the familiar Chinese culture in rootless translation.This study found that in the process of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, the author chose to use intertextuality, explanation and subtitle in macro aspect, and in microscopic aspect, he chose to use italics in Chinese Pinyin.Creative Chinglish, visualized words, Chinglish rhetoric, and a few homonyms unique to English?Rhetoric?An idiom.In the selection of translation methods, there are mainly transliteration, literal translation, free translation, substitution and cotranslation. 2) in the process of Snow Flower and the SecretFan's rootless backtranslation, the language choice is macroscopic, and the translator adds directory pages at the chapter level.The subtitle in the original text is chosen as the main title, while in the micro aspect, the translator chooses to use a large number of four-character boxes, culture-loaded words, concrete words and a small amount of classical Chinese.In the selection of translation methods, there are three main aspects: substitution, ellipsis, addition of words, free translation and literal translation. In the process of Snow Flower and theSecret Fan, the choice of language and method of translation is the adaptation of the source language, while in the process of rootless backtranslation.Any choice of language and translation method made by the author and translator of the Chinese and English versions is for the purpose of adapting to the target language readers of modern Chinese and English.The results of this study are instructive to the study of similar texts: transliteration, literal translation, visualized words, etc., flexible use of free translation, intertextuality, interpretation, etc.In order to keep the original taste of Chinese culture and make the readers understand and accept it, in the process of rootless translation, the translation method can be replaced, omitted and so on, and the four-character lattice and cultural words can be chosen in the language, so as to avoid the translation cavity as far as possible, so as to make the language accurate and fluent.
