【摘要】： 傳統(tǒng)翻譯研究往往忽視對譯者的研究,從而導(dǎo)致了譯者地位的邊緣化。二十世紀(jì)七十年代翻譯研究的文化轉(zhuǎn)向?qū)⒎g主體研究提上了日程,譯者主體性問題也自然成為其中重要的研究課題。作者認(rèn)為就翻譯行為而言,在翻譯過程中,譯者是唯一具有主動性和創(chuàng)造性的主體,只有他才能作出選擇并把一種語言轉(zhuǎn)換成另一種語言。因此,在本文中譯者被看作翻譯的主體,并在翻譯過程中體現(xiàn)出其主體性。根據(jù)語用順應(yīng)論,使用語言是一個不斷選擇語言的過程,不管這種選擇是有意識還是無意識的,也不管是出于語言內(nèi)部還是外部的原因。同一切言語交際活動一樣,翻譯的過程也是譯者對語言形式和翻譯策略作出一系列能動選擇的過程。本文將語用順應(yīng)論應(yīng)用于譯者主體性的研究,把譯者主體性定義為:為了達(dá)到預(yù)期翻譯目的,譯者在不斷作出適應(yīng)性的語言選擇的翻譯過程中所體現(xiàn)出的主動性和創(chuàng)造性。通過對珍妮·凱利和茅國權(quán)的《圍城》英譯本中譯者所發(fā)揮的主體性的研究,表明譯者的主體性作用是譯者在翻譯過程中所作的有目的的選擇中得以發(fā)揮的。這種為順應(yīng)目的語的語言語境和文化語境所作出的選擇體現(xiàn)在語言的各個層面:語音層面、詞匯層面、語義層面和語篇層面。通過分析得出,語用順應(yīng)論對于譯者主體性的發(fā)揮有著較好的解釋力;《圍城》英譯本中所謂不忠實(shí)的地方正是譯者為了達(dá)到翻譯目的和交際效果而充分發(fā)揮其主體性從而作出順應(yīng)選擇的結(jié)果。
[Abstract]:Traditional translation studies tend to neglect the study of translators, which leads to the marginalization of the translator's position. In 1970s, the cultural shift of translation studies put the subject of translation study on the agenda. The translator's subjectivity has naturally become an important research topic. The author holds that the translator is the only active and creative subject in the process of translation. Only he can make a choice and convert one language into another. Therefore, in this paper, the translator is regarded as the subject of translation and embodies his subjectivity in the process of translation. The use of language is a process of continuous choice of language, whether consciously or unconsciously, or for internal or external reasons. The process of translation is also a process in which the translator makes a series of dynamic choices about language forms and translation strategies. This paper applies pragmatic adaptation Theory to the study of the translator's subjectivity, and defines the translator's subjectivity as: to achieve the desired translation purpose. The initiative and creativity of translators in the process of constantly making adaptive language choices through a study of the subjectivity of the translator in the English version of "besieged City" by Jane Kelly and Mao Guoquan. It shows that the translator's subjective role is played in the purposeful choice made by the translator in the process of translation. The choice made for the linguistic and cultural context of the target language is embodied in all levels of the language: the phonetic level. Lexical level, semantic level and discourse level. Pragmatic adaptation Theory has a better explanation for the translator's subjectivity, and the so-called unfaithfulness in the English version of besieged City is the result of the translator making adaptation choices in order to achieve the purpose of translation and the communicative effect of giving full play to his subjectivity.
