儒學(xué)是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化的重要組成部分,反映了中華民族的精神內(nèi)核和價(jià)值觀念。儒家典籍的譯介是促進(jìn)中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化走出去,提升國(guó)家軟實(shí)力的重要途徑。雙語(yǔ)詞典的收詞和譯介功能在文化傳播中的作用也不容忽視。作為世界上第一部漢英字典,馬禮遜編纂的《華英字典》包含大量的儒家典籍句例,對(duì)中國(guó)儒學(xué)的傳播具有開(kāi)創(chuàng)性影響。雙語(yǔ)詞典中儒家句例的譯介研究在促進(jìn)中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化的傳播及發(fā)揮雙語(yǔ)詞典文化交流功能等方面具有重要實(shí)踐意義。本研究以馬禮遜《華英字典》中收錄的儒家句例為研究對(duì)象,致力于探究馬禮遜在早期漢英雙語(yǔ)詞典中的儒學(xué)傳播策略,即傳播內(nèi)容和翻譯策略。筆者從深度翻譯視角對(duì)字典中出自儒家十三經(jīng)中的句例進(jìn)行收集和分析,首先展示了句例的收集情況和分類統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù),共收集1398例,發(fā)現(xiàn)雖然十三經(jīng)中每部典籍的句例在字典中均有收錄,但數(shù)量有明顯差異。其中出自《詩(shī)經(jīng)》、《易經(jīng)》和《尚書(shū)》中的句例占比較高,達(dá)61%;出自《爾雅》、《孝經(jīng)》、《儀禮》、《公羊傳》和《谷梁傳》中的句例較少;《論語(yǔ)》中句例多為編者自行添加,并未借鑒其參照藍(lán)本《康熙字典》;其次,通過(guò)分析句例的分布情況和內(nèi)容,從整體分析和對(duì)比分析兩個(gè)方面歸納出句例所體現(xiàn)的儒學(xué)內(nèi)...
