委婉語(yǔ)是一種普遍的語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象,是人類(lèi)社會(huì)生活中不可或缺的一部分,它可以幫助達(dá)成交際任務(wù),維護(hù)和諧的人際關(guān)系。委婉語(yǔ)長(zhǎng)久以來(lái)一直為語(yǔ)言學(xué)家和學(xué)者所關(guān)注。他們從不同的角度對(duì)委婉語(yǔ)的研究做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。然而,在現(xiàn)有的研究中,對(duì)使用在外交場(chǎng)合尤其是記者招待會(huì)語(yǔ)境中的外交委婉語(yǔ)的研究還比較少。本文在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上,采用比較法,主要從語(yǔ)言構(gòu)成和語(yǔ)用功能方面,對(duì)從中國(guó)外交部官網(wǎng)和美國(guó)國(guó)務(wù)院官網(wǎng)選取的22篇英漢記者招待會(huì)文本中的委婉語(yǔ)進(jìn)行分析。在語(yǔ)言構(gòu)成方面,本文對(duì)英漢外交委婉語(yǔ)進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的對(duì)比分析;在語(yǔ)用功能方面,本文以禮貌原則和合作原則為切入點(diǎn),對(duì)英漢外交委婉語(yǔ)進(jìn)行了深度的語(yǔ)用分析,以探索此類(lèi)語(yǔ)篇中使用外交委婉語(yǔ)來(lái)違反或者實(shí)施合作原則和禮貌原則的規(guī)律,試圖發(fā)現(xiàn)外交委婉語(yǔ)的交際意圖。通過(guò)分析本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),在語(yǔ)言構(gòu)成方面,英漢委婉語(yǔ)有著共同之處,但是受不同文化的影響,兩者也存在不同點(diǎn);在語(yǔ)用功能方面,本文以禮貌原則和合作原則為切入點(diǎn),對(duì)英漢外交委婉語(yǔ)的作用進(jìn)行了分析。在語(yǔ)用功能方面,作者發(fā)現(xiàn),委婉語(yǔ)在違背合作原則的同時(shí)又遵循著禮貌原則,以達(dá)到掩蓋事實(shí),為自己的行為辯護(hù)和表示禮貌的目的。本文通過(guò)對(duì)英漢外...
