基于語料庫的英漢姿勢動詞“stand”和“立”研究

姿勢動詞作為動詞中一個重要分類,在中英語言研究中具有不可忽略的地位。然而,除了極少數(shù)學(xué)者注意到其語義,句法層面的研究,認(rèn)知研究幾乎未被涉及。本文的研究對象為英語主要姿勢動詞“stand”及漢語主要姿勢動詞“立”,兩者在意義及使用方式上都具有一些有趣的共性和特性。本文主要采用定量和定性研究相結(jié)合的方法。首先,主要基于BROWN及CCL語料庫為本文研究“stand”和“立”提供了堅實的數(shù)據(jù)基礎(chǔ),更好的了解到兩者在使用頻率、用法、搭配上的相同與不同,對“stand”和“立”有全面的宏觀把握。其次,借助語法化理論,對兩者語義擴大的不同范疇有微觀探索。更為重要的是,本文重點引入意象圖式理論,認(rèn)為“stand”和“立”作為姿勢動詞,各個義項之間的關(guān)系不是任意的,身體和思維及詞義之間存在緊密聯(lián)系,兩者詞義的擴展源于人們在客觀世界中的身體體驗。通過一項定量研究,本文首先探索了意象圖式對“stand”和“立”詞義擴展的潛在理據(jù)作用,支持了義項擴展在一定程度上是以人們的身體體驗為基礎(chǔ)的論斷,繼而對“stand”和“立”進(jìn)行更為詳盡的對比,發(fā)現(xiàn)意象圖式具有文化差異性,并且對不同語言中相同姿勢動詞的語義擴展方...
