【摘要】：制約隱喻傳譯的不僅有語言差異,而且更重要的是文化差異,這一點(diǎn)已久為共識。同時,在翻譯研究的描述學(xué)派和規(guī)范學(xué)派中,均已有不少學(xué)者總結(jié)提出了針對隱喻的各式翻譯策略。 作者無力提出任何全新的見解,本文旨在以隱喻為對象來檢驗“語言歸化和文化異化”這一翻譯思想。本文選取概念隱喻理論作為論述的基石,并在深入分析隱喻與文化的緊密聯(lián)系之基礎(chǔ)上提出：隱喻傳譯的探討不應(yīng)停留在隱喻表達(dá)這一語言層面上,而是要聚焦于隱喻表達(dá)背后與譯出語文化緊密相連的隱喻概念及文化認(rèn)知上,因為此種概念隱喻和文化認(rèn)知方為隱喻傳譯的真正對象。因此,隱喻傳譯之關(guān)鍵并不在于如何于歸化和異化之間做出取舍,而在于：如何在譯文中妥善處理原文隱喻表達(dá)背后的文化認(rèn)知概念?為了回答上述問題,本文沿用萊考夫有關(guān)概念隱喻和意象隱喻的分類,并在此兩種隱喻表達(dá)中分別去討論相同與相異的隱喻概念下隱喻表達(dá)的傳譯策略,并以此來佐證隱喻傳譯中文化異化之可操作性。 分而言之,本文將探討并嘗試回答如下問題： 1.文化因素以何種方式給隱喻傳譯帶來了困難? 2.概念隱喻理論將怎樣指導(dǎo)隱喻傳譯? 3.概念隱喻理論給翻譯中的“理解與表達(dá)”這一思想帶來了何種新解? 4.如何將“文化異化”這一翻譯思想應(yīng)用到隱喻傳譯中?
[Abstract]:It has long been common understanding that metaphor translation is restricted not only by linguistic differences, but also by cultural differences. At the same time, in the descriptive school and normative school of translation studies, many scholars have summarized and put forward various translation strategies for metaphor. The author is unable to put forward any new opinions. The aim of this paper is to examine the translation thoughts of "language domestication and cultural foreignization" with metaphor as the object. This paper chooses the theory of conceptual metaphor as the cornerstone of the thesis, and on the basis of in-depth analysis of the close relationship between metaphor and culture, puts forward that the study of metaphorical translation should not remain on the linguistic level of metaphorical expression. We should focus on the concept of metaphor and cultural cognition which is closely related to the translation culture behind the expression of metaphor because the conceptual metaphor and cultural cognition are the real objects of metaphorical translation. Therefore, the key to metaphorical translation is not how to make a trade-off between domestication and alienation, but how to properly deal with the cultural cognitive concept behind the metaphorical expression of the original text in the translation. In order to answer the above questions, this paper uses Lakoff's classification of conceptual metaphor and image metaphor, and discusses the translation strategies of metaphorical expression under the same and different metaphorical concepts respectively in these two kinds of metaphorical expressions. It also proves the operability of cultural alienation in metaphorical translation. In short, this article will explore and try to answer the following questions: 1. In what way does cultural factors make translation of metaphors difficult? 2. How will conceptual metaphor theory guide metaphorical translation? What new explanation does conceptual metaphor theory bring to the thought of "understanding and expression" in translation? 4. How to apply the translation thought of "cultural alienation" to metaphorical interpretation?
