【摘要】：威拉德·奧曼·蒯因(Willard Van Orman Quine)(1908-2000)是20世紀(jì)下半葉美國(guó)著名的哲學(xué)家、數(shù)理邏輯學(xué)家，是現(xiàn)代分析哲學(xué)的主要代表人物之一。在過去的半個(gè)世紀(jì)中，蒯因的翻譯不確定性論題困擾了一大批的專家學(xué)者。因此，人們對(duì)該論題的關(guān)注程度很高，關(guān)于它的解讀俯拾皆是。毋庸置疑，哲學(xué)是無(wú)解的，對(duì)于同一論題的解讀，仁者見仁，智者見智；即便是在同一讀者的眼中，對(duì)于同一論題，亦有可能產(chǎn)生不同的解讀。蒯因翻譯不確定性論題的內(nèi)容是什么，它同與之相關(guān)的論題之間有著怎樣千絲萬(wàn)縷的聯(lián)系，其來(lái)源又是什么，不同的學(xué)者們眾說紛紜。 本文從蒯因本人的著作以及相關(guān)論述出發(fā)，對(duì)翻譯不確定性這個(gè)哲學(xué)命題進(jìn)行了相對(duì)客觀的闡釋，一方面，可以通過糾正讀者們一些明顯的誤讀，消除人們對(duì)此論題的一些偏見；另一方面，能夠加深與拓寬讀者們對(duì)該論題的理解。具體而言，我們不妨把蒯因的翻譯不確定性論題比作一個(gè)點(diǎn)，若是要對(duì)這個(gè)點(diǎn)進(jìn)行相對(duì)全面的哲學(xué)闡釋，那么，有兩個(gè)步驟不可或缺。步驟一，該點(diǎn)與其他相關(guān)各點(diǎn)所組成的線性關(guān)系必須明確，即需要對(duì)此論題進(jìn)行橫向哲學(xué)闡釋。本文通過對(duì)論題的橫向哲學(xué)闡釋，揭示了蒯因三種不確定性論題間的關(guān)系：(1)在三種不確定性(翻譯不確定性，意義不確定性，指稱不確定性)中，意義不確定性是邏輯起點(diǎn)；(2)根據(jù)不確定性的程度，翻譯不確定性可分為：弱的翻譯不確定性，強(qiáng)的翻譯不確定性，更強(qiáng)的翻譯不確定性；(3)指稱不確定性則正是強(qiáng)意義上的翻譯不確定性。步驟二，線上各點(diǎn)的來(lái)龍去脈必須闡明，即需要對(duì)此論題進(jìn)行縱向哲學(xué)闡釋。之所以要從哲學(xué)角度進(jìn)行闡釋，是因?yàn)樵撜擃}本身就是一個(gè)哲學(xué)命題，純粹的解讀，非從命題本身的性質(zhì)出發(fā)不可。本文通過對(duì)論題的縱向哲學(xué)闡釋，追溯了蒯因翻譯不確定性論題的三大哲學(xué)淵源：語(yǔ)言行為主義，，本體論的相對(duì)性，意義整體論。 此外，本文還把解讀過程中的點(diǎn)滴收獲，充分映射到翻譯理論與實(shí)踐的研究中去。在蒯因翻譯不確定性論題的啟示下，首先，應(yīng)當(dāng)實(shí)現(xiàn)翻譯理論研究的語(yǔ)言轉(zhuǎn)向，即回歸翻譯理論本身，深入挖掘理論所包含的概念的內(nèi)涵與外延，以及概念與其他相關(guān)概念之間的差別與聯(lián)系；并且，重思蒯因眼中語(yǔ)言的可譯性與不可譯性。其次，應(yīng)當(dāng)充分利用蒯因獨(dú)特的哲學(xué)視角，來(lái)解釋翻譯實(shí)踐中所出現(xiàn)的各種現(xiàn)象與問題：翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的多重性與翻譯方法的多樣性。 無(wú)論是在哲學(xué)界，語(yǔ)言學(xué)界，還是在翻譯研究領(lǐng)域，人們都對(duì)蒯因的翻譯不確定性論題表現(xiàn)出極大的關(guān)注。盡管學(xué)者們對(duì)此論題的評(píng)價(jià)褒貶不一，但也由此可見該論題的魅力之所在。可是，根據(jù)蒯因本人的相關(guān)論述，不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，人們對(duì)蒯因的翻譯不確定性論題仍有一些明顯的誤讀，希望通過對(duì)論題及相關(guān)內(nèi)容的探討，全面而又深刻地把握蒯因的翻譯不確定性論題，以追求蒯因之真。
[Abstract]:Willard Van Orman Quine (1908-2000) is a famous philosopher and mathematical logician in the first half of the 20th century. In the past half-century, a large number of scholars and scholars have been plagued by the uncertainty of translation. As a result, there is a high degree of attention to the subject, and the interpretation of it is everywhere. There is no doubt that there is no solution to the philosophy, and for the same topic, it is possible to read the same subject and to be wise; even in the eyes of the same reader, it is possible to produce different interpretations for the same topic. What is the content of the topic of the translation uncertainty is what it is with the topics related to it, what the source is and what the different scholars talk about. In this paper, from the author's work and the related discussion, this paper makes a relative and objective explanation for the philosophical proposition of the translation uncertainty. On the one hand, it is possible to eliminate some bias of the subject by correcting some obvious misreading of the readers and the other. In this respect, it is possible to deepen and broaden the reader's understanding of the subject To understand, in particular, we may wish to liken the topic of the translation uncertainty to a point, and if it is to make a relatively comprehensive philosophical interpretation of the point, there are two steps that are not 1. This paper, through the interpretation of the longitudinal philosophy of the thesis, traces the three major philosophical sources of the topic of translation uncertainty: the relativity of the language behaviorism and the ontology, and the significance.
