論《翻譯的政治》中的修辭與倫理觀

【摘要】:佳亞特里·斯皮瓦克是當(dāng)代最具影響性的理論家之一,她的《翻譯的政治》是翻譯理論領(lǐng)域最重要的寫作,,被收入重要選集《翻譯研究讀本》。但由于斯皮瓦克的文風(fēng)比較晦澀、內(nèi)容融合各種后主義因素,因此對翻譯學(xué)學(xué)生、研究者而言較難理解。前人研究強(qiáng)調(diào)將斯皮瓦克的文章在當(dāng)代主義理論框架中定位,或者在具體情況下應(yīng)用。本論文旨在通過對三個(gè)核心概念  即修辭、能動(dòng)性、與貼服  的解釋,剖析討論斯皮瓦克《翻譯的政治》的內(nèi)在結(jié)構(gòu)與含義,使之更為清晰明朗,進(jìn)而推動(dòng)斯皮瓦克理論在翻譯理論系統(tǒng)中的定位與應(yīng)用。第一部分談及斯皮瓦克與后結(jié)構(gòu)主義文學(xué)理論的關(guān)系,說明她向保羅·德曼所借用的概念。這部分指明斯皮瓦克對修辭與閱讀的理解來自于德曼,并介紹這種理解在斯皮瓦克翻譯思想中的角色。第二部分探究能動(dòng)性,也就是語言與“倫理政治”的一種橋梁。第三部分探究了“譯者必須完全貼服與原文”但“翻譯時(shí)的貼服確實(shí)愛欲的關(guān)系多于倫理的關(guān)系”這兩中觀點(diǎn)。通過對朱迪斯·巴特勒的《自我陳述》一本的解讀,我發(fā)現(xiàn)皮瓦克的“貼服”并非屬于“非倫理”行為,而與后結(jié)構(gòu)倫理理論相符。斯皮瓦克與德曼的關(guān)系比較明顯;但她與巴特勒的倫理研究理論的關(guān)系并沒受到多少關(guān)注,因此這部分可視為對翻譯學(xué)的新貢獻(xiàn)。
[Abstract]:Gayatri Spivak is one of the most influential theorists of contemporary times. Her Politics of Translation is the most important writing in the field of translation theory. But because Spivak's style is rather obscure and the content is mixed with all kinds of posteriori factors, it is difficult for the translation students to understand. Previous studies have emphasized that Spivak's works should be positioned in the framework of contemporary theory, or applied in specific situations. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and discuss the inner structure and meaning of Spivak's Politics of Translation through the explanation of three core concepts, namely rhetoric, initiative, and stickiness, so as to make it clearer and clearer. Furthermore, it promotes the orientation and application of Spivak's theory in translation theory system. The first part deals with the relationship between Spivak and poststructuralist literary theory, explaining the concept she borrowed from Paul de Man. This part points out that Spivak's understanding of rhetoric and reading comes from Derman, and introduces the role of this understanding in Spivak's translation thought. The second part explores initiative, which is a bridge between language and ethical politics. The third part explores the two points of view: "translators must completely attach to the original text" but "the relationship between the true lust in translation is more than that in ethics". Based on the interpretation of Judith Butler's "Self-statement", I find that Pivak's "sticker" is not an "unethical" behavior, but is consistent with the poststructural ethics theory. The relationship between Spivak and Derman is obvious, but her relationship with Butler's ethical research theory has not received much attention, so this part can be regarded as a new contribution to the study of translation.
