中英預(yù)防艾滋病視頻的多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)對(duì)比分析

【摘要】:隨著多媒體的快速發(fā)展,人們交流的方式出現(xiàn)多元化趨勢(shì),越來(lái)越多地利用多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)來(lái)構(gòu)建意義、傳遞信息。多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)是指采用兩種或多種感覺(jué),通過(guò)語(yǔ)言、圖像、聲音、動(dòng)作等多種手段進(jìn)行溝通交流的現(xiàn)象。視頻作為一種新興的交際、通訊工具,集多種模態(tài)于一身并能夠準(zhǔn)確表達(dá)出其中的藝術(shù)訴求和思想內(nèi)涵。自上世紀(jì)90年代以來(lái),對(duì)多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)的研究層出不窮,但大多只集中在靜態(tài)圖像上,如海報(bào)、電影語(yǔ)篇等。對(duì)動(dòng)態(tài)圖像,特別是視頻的研究是少之又少,將不同語(yǔ)言的視頻進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析則更為少見(jiàn),而對(duì)預(yù)防艾滋病視頻則沒(méi)有研究過(guò)。 本研究是對(duì)中英預(yù)防艾滋病視頻進(jìn)行多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)對(duì)比分析,語(yǔ)料來(lái)源為2006年到2012年八個(gè)政府及非政府組織所拍攝的預(yù)防艾滋病視頻。作者基于Kress和van Leeuwen建立的第一個(gè)系統(tǒng)全面的視覺(jué)語(yǔ)法分析框架以及O’Halloran建立的電影語(yǔ)篇分析體系,提出了一個(gè)改進(jìn)的適合視頻的分析模型。從再現(xiàn)意義、互動(dòng)意義以及構(gòu)圖意義對(duì)所搜集的中英文預(yù)防艾滋病視頻進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析,以期發(fā)現(xiàn)它們?cè)诓捎枚嗄B(tài)話語(yǔ)構(gòu)建意義時(shí)存在的差異。 首先,作者將所選取的視頻根據(jù)攝像機(jī)移動(dòng),意義構(gòu)建及時(shí)間順序分割成100個(gè)中文視頻片段和100個(gè)英文視頻片段。其次,應(yīng)用上述模型對(duì)所選取的視頻分別從再現(xiàn)意義、互動(dòng)意義及構(gòu)圖意義三個(gè)方面進(jìn)行定量對(duì)比分析。最后,我們從中英文語(yǔ)料中各選取一個(gè)視頻,舉例說(shuō)明所分析的變量以及分析過(guò)程。 通過(guò)對(duì)比研究,,本文得出以下結(jié)論。第一,再現(xiàn)意義層面上:中文預(yù)防艾滋病視頻比英文視頻采用了更多的意義再現(xiàn)而英文預(yù)防艾滋病視頻則多采用敘事再現(xiàn)。第二,互動(dòng)意義層面上:中文視頻多采用提供類圖像,長(zhǎng)、中、特寫鏡頭相結(jié)合,側(cè)面視角,柔和的背景音樂(lè)或不使用音樂(lè),短小且富有號(hào)召力的臺(tái)詞,以及較高的情態(tài)來(lái)構(gòu)建再現(xiàn)意義。但同時(shí),研究結(jié)果也顯示,中文視頻在使用索取類圖像上有所增多。英文視頻則多采用索取類圖像,特寫鏡頭,正面視角,低沉嚴(yán)肅的背景音樂(lè),較長(zhǎng)且富有感召力的臺(tái)詞以及中等和較低的情態(tài)來(lái)構(gòu)建互動(dòng)意義。第三,構(gòu)圖意義層面上,中文視頻多將主要信息或事物置于圖像右邊,多采用置于前景或增強(qiáng)顏色對(duì)比度來(lái)凸顯其重要性。而英文視頻則多將主要事情或信息置于圖像中間,多采用放大主要事物或置于前景來(lái)突出其重要性。 本研究旨在發(fā)現(xiàn)對(duì)中英預(yù)防艾滋病視頻進(jìn)行多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)對(duì)比分析時(shí),再現(xiàn)意義、互動(dòng)意義、以及構(gòu)圖意義三方面存在的差異。這不僅對(duì)人們提高多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)分析能力有一定的幫助,而且為欣賞視頻提供了一個(gè)新的視角。另外,在原有分析框架的基礎(chǔ)上,本文提出了一個(gè)綜合的且適用于對(duì)視頻進(jìn)行多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)分析的模型,這一模型對(duì)人們進(jìn)一步研究多模態(tài)話語(yǔ)分析這一領(lǐng)域有著一定的借鑒意義。
[Abstract]:With the rapid development of multimedia, there is a trend of diversity in the way of communication, and more multi-modal discourse is used to construct meaning and transmit information. Multimodal discourse refers to the phenomenon that two or more senses are used to communicate with each other through language, image, sound, action and so on. As a new communication and communication tool, video can accurately express its artistic appeal and connotation. Since the 1990s, there have been many studies on multimodal discourse, but most of them focus on static images, such as posters, film texts and so on. There are very few researches on dynamic images, especially video, and it is rare to compare and analyze the video of different languages, but there is no research on the prevention of HIV / AIDS. The present study is a multi-modal discourse comparative analysis of HIV / AIDS prevention videos in China and Britain from 2006 to 2012 by eight government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Based on Kress and van Leeuwen's first systematic framework of visual grammar analysis and Ohn Halloran's system of film discourse analysis, an improved video analysis model is proposed. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the collected Chinese and English AIDS prevention videos from the aspects of reproduction meaning, interactive meaning and composition meaning, in order to find out the differences between them when using multi-modal discourse to construct meaning. Firstly, the selected video is divided into 100 Chinese video clips and 100 English video clips according to camera motion, meaning construction and time order. Secondly, the model is used to compare and analyze the selected video from three aspects: reproduction meaning, interactive meaning and composition meaning. Finally, we choose a video from the Chinese and English corpus to illustrate the variables analyzed and the analysis process. Through comparative study, this paper draws the following conclusions. Firstly, in the aspect of reproduction, Chinese HIV / AIDS prevention video is more meaningful than English video, while English HIV / AIDS prevention video is more narrative reproduction. Second, on the interactive level: Chinese video mostly uses short, short and powerful lines with short, medium, close-up shots, side view, soft background music or no use of music. And higher modality to construct the meaning of reproduction. But at the same time, the results also show that Chinese video in the use of request-class images have increased. In English video, the interactive meaning is constructed by taking pictures, close-up shots, positive perspective, low and serious background music, long and inspiring lines and medium and low moods. Thirdly, in the sense of composition, Chinese video mostly puts the main information or things on the right side of the image, and puts them on the foreground or enhances the contrast of color to highlight their importance. In English video, the main thing or information is placed in the middle of the image, and the importance is highlighted by magnifying the main thing or placing it in the foreground. The purpose of this study is to find out the differences in reproduction meaning, interactive meaning and composition meaning in the multimodal discourse contrastive analysis of HIV / AIDS prevention videos between China and Britain. This is not only helpful to improve the ability of multimodal discourse analysis, but also provides a new perspective for watching video. In addition, on the basis of the original analysis framework, this paper proposes a comprehensive and suitable multi-modal discourse analysis model for video. This model can be used for reference in the field of multimodal discourse analysis.
