及物性與語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)—系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法視角

【摘要】:系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法將語(yǔ)言視為一個(gè)包括語(yǔ)義、詞匯語(yǔ)法和音系/字系的多層次系統(tǒng),各層次之間依次存在體現(xiàn)關(guān)系,即語(yǔ)義由詞匯語(yǔ)法體現(xiàn),詞匯語(yǔ)法由音系/字系體現(xiàn)。因此,本研究認(rèn)為作為語(yǔ)義單位的語(yǔ)篇也是由諸如及物性、語(yǔ)氣和主述位等詞匯語(yǔ)法資源體現(xiàn)的。但是,目前為止,學(xué)術(shù)界還沒(méi)有完善系統(tǒng)的研究探討作為語(yǔ)義單位的語(yǔ)篇是如何由詞匯語(yǔ)法資源實(shí)現(xiàn)的。有鑒于此,本文擬基于語(yǔ)言的體現(xiàn)原則,探究詞匯語(yǔ)法,尤其是及物性系統(tǒng),與語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)的關(guān)系。 本研究的首要任務(wù)是對(duì)“語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)”這一概念進(jìn)行理論描述和定義。在系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)法看來(lái),語(yǔ)篇是對(duì)語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)意義潛勢(shì)示例和體現(xiàn)的結(jié)果,是概念意義、人際意義和語(yǔ)篇意義的載體;語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)要求說(shuō)話人根據(jù)有關(guān)的語(yǔ)境因素從語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)所提供的各種意義潛勢(shì)中做出選擇,并通過(guò)恰當(dāng)?shù)脑~匯語(yǔ)法資源將之實(shí)例化。本研究據(jù)此將語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)定義為是由詞匯語(yǔ)法手段實(shí)現(xiàn)的概念意義、人際意義和語(yǔ)篇意義三位一體的動(dòng)態(tài)的語(yǔ)義體現(xiàn)過(guò)程。在對(duì)語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)這一語(yǔ)義建構(gòu)過(guò)程的理論描述基礎(chǔ)之上,本文從語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)義視角,根據(jù)詞匯語(yǔ)法和語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)義之間存在的體現(xiàn)關(guān)系,著重探討及物性系統(tǒng)的語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)功能。 本研究認(rèn)為,及物性在將語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)意義潛勢(shì)實(shí)例化為語(yǔ)篇的過(guò)程中扮演著重要角色。在體現(xiàn)語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)義的過(guò)程中,及物性不僅能夠體現(xiàn)概念意義,它還具有體現(xiàn)人際意義和語(yǔ)篇意義的潛勢(shì)。具體地說(shuō),及物性的語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)功能主要體現(xiàn)在以下三個(gè)方面:1)及物性是對(duì)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的識(shí)解,把現(xiàn)實(shí)世界中的經(jīng)驗(yàn)建構(gòu)在語(yǔ)篇中,體現(xiàn)概念意義;2)及物性系統(tǒng)與語(yǔ)氣系統(tǒng)相互作用,同時(shí)作為一種語(yǔ)篇評(píng)價(jià)資源,使得及物性具有建構(gòu)人際意義的潛勢(shì);3)及物性與主位結(jié)構(gòu)密切聯(lián)系,同時(shí)及物性過(guò)程參與者的選擇也與語(yǔ)篇的銜接密切相關(guān),參與者追蹤有助于確立語(yǔ)篇銜接鏈,因而它也具有建構(gòu)語(yǔ)篇意義的潛勢(shì)。 通過(guò)實(shí)例分析,本研究發(fā)現(xiàn)及物性在語(yǔ)篇各個(gè)語(yǔ)義分支建構(gòu)過(guò)程中起著至關(guān)重要的作用,它不僅能夠建構(gòu)概念意義,它還同時(shí)具有建構(gòu)人際意義和語(yǔ)篇意義的潛勢(shì)。最后,本文構(gòu)擬出了及物性與語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)的關(guān)系示意圖,以揭示及物性在語(yǔ)篇建構(gòu)中的重要意義:
[Abstract]:The system functional grammar regards language as a multi-level system which includes semantics, lexical grammar and phonology / character system, in turn, there exists the embodiment relation among the different levels, that is, semantic is embodied by lexical grammar and lexical grammar by phonology / character system. Therefore, the present study holds that discourse as a semantic unit is also reflected by lexical and grammatical resources such as transitivity, mood and theme. However, up to now, there has been no systematic research into how discourse, as a semantic unit, is realized by lexical and grammatical resources. In view of this, this thesis intends to explore the relationship between lexical grammar, especially the transitivity system, and discourse construction based on the principles of language. The primary task of this study is to theoretically describe and define the concept of "discourse construction". From the perspective of systemic functional grammar, discourse is the result of examples and embodiments of the potential of systematic meaning in language, and it is the carrier of conceptual meaning, interpersonal meaning and textual meaning. Discourse construction requires the speaker to choose from the various meanings offered by the language system according to the relevant contextual factors and to instantiate them through appropriate lexical and grammatical resources. According to the present study, discourse construction is defined as a dynamic semantic representation process in which conceptual meaning, interpersonal meaning and textual meaning are realized by lexical and grammatical means. Based on the theoretical description of the process of discourse construction, this paper, from the perspective of discourse semantics, analyzes the relationship between lexical grammar and discourse semantics. The present study argues that transitivity plays an important role in the process of instantiating the meaning potential of a language system into a discourse. In the process of embodying textual semantics, transitivity can not only embody conceptual meaning, but also embody the potential of interpersonal meaning and textual meaning. Specifically, the textual construction function of transitivity is mainly embodied in the following three aspects: 1) and transitivity is the interpretation of experience, which constructs the experience in the real world in the discourse, and embodies the conceptual meaning 2) and the interaction between the transitivity system and the mood system. As a discourse evaluation resource, transitivity has the potential to construct interpersonal meaning, and the transitivity is closely related to the thematic structure, and the choice of the participants in the transitivity process is also closely related to the cohesion of the discourse. Participant tracing helps to establish the cohesion chain of a text, so it also has the potential to construct the meaning of a text. Through the case study, this study finds that transitivity plays an important role in the construction of each semantic branch of the text. It not only can construct conceptual meaning, but also has the potential to construct interpersonal meaning and textual meaning. Finally, the thesis draws up a schematic diagram of the relationship between transitivity and discourse construction in order to reveal the significance of transitivity in discourse construction.
