翻譯中意義動態(tài)性與詞典的使用

【摘要】:翻譯即意義的轉(zhuǎn)換。意義轉(zhuǎn)換過程始于意義解讀,終于意義表達(dá),始終以意義為中心,一步一步推進(jìn)。意義本身具有模糊、游移、不確定的動態(tài)性,意義解讀是一個(gè)主觀動態(tài)的過程,目標(biāo)語種意義再現(xiàn)更是需要?jiǎng)討B(tài)決策的過程,統(tǒng)稱為意義動態(tài)性。 詞典是譯者的主要工具,在意義動態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)換的每個(gè)過程都能夠?yàn)樽g者提供幫助。一般說來,在意義解讀階段,單語詞典以及必要的百科信息知識可以幫助譯者全面而深刻地理解原文意義,為進(jìn)一步的翻譯工作打好基礎(chǔ);在意義表達(dá)階段,雙語詞典提供對等詞選項(xiàng)供譯者參考,啟發(fā)思路;同樣,在表達(dá)階段,譯者會經(jīng)常發(fā)現(xiàn)對原文的理解不夠準(zhǔn)確,此時(shí)就需要停止雙語轉(zhuǎn)換,暫時(shí)回到單語詞典,用源語思維方式準(zhǔn)確理解原文意義。在校對階段,譯者需要根據(jù)實(shí)際碰到的困難,靈活選擇運(yùn)用單語、雙語或?qū)I(yè)詞典,解決翻譯難點(diǎn),提高譯文質(zhì)量;在線詞典實(shí)質(zhì)上是多種詞典的集合體,其顯著特點(diǎn)是其“在線性”,可以隨時(shí)鏈接到相關(guān)百科信息。在線詞典最大的優(yōu)越性在于它的認(rèn)知性設(shè)計(jì),因此可以在翻譯的每個(gè)階段提供極大幫助,受到現(xiàn)代譯者的廣泛歡迎。 然而,無論是何種詞典,都受到其編纂思想、編撰原則及篇幅有限的限制,呈現(xiàn)出內(nèi)在的靜態(tài)性。這與譯者翻譯實(shí)踐中要處理的實(shí)際困難意義動態(tài)性是相悖的。因此,譯者應(yīng)該充分認(rèn)識到,詞典只是工具,而不應(yīng)將其奉為圭臬,更不應(yīng)該囿于詞典選項(xiàng),僵化翻譯。意義動態(tài)源于語境,最終在語境中得到解釋。語境是意義從動態(tài)、游離、不確定走向確定的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。作為一名職業(yè)譯者,需要的不僅僅是案頭幾本詞典,百科全書,更重要的是在語境中做出動態(tài)抉擇的語感和能力。
[Abstract]:Translation is the transformation of meaning. The process of meaning transformation begins with the interpretation of meaning and finally the expression of meaning, always centered on meaning and pushed forward step by step. Meaning itself is fuzzy, moving, uncertain dynamic, meaning interpretation is a subjective dynamic process, the target language meaning reproduction needs dynamic decision-making process, collectively referred to as meaning dynamic. Dictionary is the translator's main tool. It can help the translator in every process of meaning dynamic transformation. In general, monolingual dictionaries and the necessary knowledge of encyclopedic information can help the translator to understand the meaning of the original text comprehensively and deeply, and lay a good foundation for further translation. Bilingual dictionaries provide equivalents for the translator's reference and enlighten thinking. Similarly, in the expression stage, the translator often finds that the understanding of the original text is not accurate enough, so it is necessary to stop the bilingual conversion and return to the monolingual dictionary for the time being. Understand the meaning of the original text accurately in the mode of thinking in the source language. At the school stage, translators need to flexibly choose to use monolingual, bilingual or professional dictionaries to solve translation difficulties and improve translation quality according to the practical difficulties encountered by translators. In essence, online dictionaries are a collection of many dictionaries. Its distinctive feature is that it is "linear" and can be linked to relevant encyclopedic information at any time. The greatest advantage of online dictionaries lies in their cognitive design, which can be of great help in every stage of translation and is widely welcomed by modern translators. However, no matter what kind of dictionary is limited by its compilation thought, compilation principle and limited space, it presents its inherent staticness. This is contrary to the dynamic meaning of the practical difficulties to be dealt with in the translator's translation practice. Therefore, translators should fully realize that dictionaries are only tools and should not be regarded as standard, nor should they be confined to dictionary options and be rigid in translation. The dynamic meaning originates from the context and is finally explained in the context. Context is the standard of meaning from dynamic, free, uncertain to definite. As a professional translator, what is needed is not only a few dictionaries, an encyclopedia, but also a sense of language and ability to make dynamic choices in context.
