【摘要】：本文主要討論植物名稱的理據(jù)問題，即某植物為什么獲得這個名稱的原因，對英漢植物命名理據(jù)進行對比。通過對植物名稱的分析確定了英漢植物名稱命名理據(jù)的六種基本類型：形體、紋色、生長環(huán)境、生長習性、性質(zhì)（氣味、滋味、質(zhì)地、其它性質(zhì)）和功能用途（藥用、食用、他用）。除此之外，英語植物名也有以神話傳說和人名為理據(jù)的。研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，英漢植物的命名理據(jù)均體現(xiàn)了一些一般性選擇規(guī)律：視覺感知優(yōu)先，功能次之；視覺中形體優(yōu)先；形體中形態(tài)優(yōu)先。同時，英漢植物命名有著隱喻性思維、具象性和簡潔性的共同點。除了這些相似性之外，，本文分析了命名理據(jù)背后折射的文化差異并予以解釋：（1）中國的龍鳳崇拜；（2）中西方不同的社會等級觀念；（3）古希臘神話對西方文化的深遠影響；（4）家喻戶曉的《圣經(jīng)》對英語植物命名的影響；（5）西方追求科學和理性的精神，表現(xiàn)在一些英語植物名以在植物領(lǐng)域作出貢獻的人的人名命名。
[Abstract]:This paper mainly discusses the motivation of plant name, that is, the reason why a plant got the name. Based on the analysis of plant names, six basic types of plant naming motivation in English and Chinese are determined: shape, color, growth environment, growth habits, properties (smell, taste, texture).
