近年來,隨著中國崛起,一批外國學(xué)者從“他者”視角開始研究中國。一般來說,“他者”視角塑造了兩種不同的“中國形象”:一種是負(fù)面形象,“妖魔化”的中國;另一個是夸張的正面形象,“理想化”的中國。同樣,在中國,中國國家形象研究已成為傳播學(xué)和語言學(xué)領(lǐng)域等學(xué)科的熱門研究課題。中國學(xué)者逐漸深入研究中國國家形象宣傳片和中國題材的紀(jì)錄片并且大多數(shù)的研究都是從多模態(tài)和傳播學(xué)的角度對電影和紀(jì)錄片進(jìn)行分析。然而,從其他視角對紀(jì)錄片中的中國國家形象構(gòu)建研究相對較少。與21世紀(jì)以來不同國家涉華紀(jì)錄片的代表作品相比較,由美國探索頻道出品的電視紀(jì)錄片《China:Time of Xi(習(xí)近平治國方略:中國這五年)》,真實(shí)客觀地展現(xiàn)了中國國家形象,它為我們提供了敘述故事的新敘事視角和風(fēng)格,值得中國紀(jì)錄片在自塑國家形象時借鑒。因此,這部具代表性的紀(jì)錄片具有重要的研究價值。本文將從國家形象塑造的角度出發(fā),以敘事學(xué)理論作為框架對電視紀(jì)錄片China:Time of Xi的三集視頻字幕文本和圖像進(jìn)行分析,以敘事學(xué)家熱拉爾·熱奈特和米克·巴爾為代表的敘事學(xué)理論為依據(jù)并結(jié)合國內(nèi)學(xué)者的研究,主要從紀(jì)錄片的敘事者和敘事視角、敘事結(jié)構(gòu)...
