每個民族在歷史的發(fā)展過程中都會形成自身的文化與價值體系。作為封建武士形成的一系列習(xí)俗慣例,武士道是日本文化精神的核心。武士道的形成與神道教、佛教、儒教文化有著密不可分的關(guān)系。武士道作為日本武士社會的主體思想,構(gòu)成了武士道的道德體系。在明治維新顛覆了幕藩體制后,武士制度的消亡并沒有泯滅武士道精神。武士道精神成為日本人精神上的支柱,影響了一代又一代的日本人。騎士精神作為歐洲文化核心的一部分,其繁榮和衰落貫穿了整個中世紀(jì)。中世紀(jì)騎士起源于重裝騎兵,這些騎兵在中世紀(jì)歐洲戰(zhàn)場上起到了決定性作用,后在教會的影響下成為“基督的騎士”。騎士精神和道德是上層社會的貴族文化精神,代表著中世紀(jì)歐洲精英階層在文化、道德等各個方面的準(zhǔn)則,同樣也對現(xiàn)在西歐的政治和文化產(chǎn)生了深遠(yuǎn)的影響。本文旨在對比武士道精神與騎士精神的文化差異,探討二者在《最后的武士》和《亞瑟王》兩部電影中體現(xiàn)出的民族精神,從而揭示兩種精神對于民族文化差異的文化根源。并通過反思國家興衰,尋求兩種文化遺存的現(xiàn)實意義。
