[Abstract]:Alan Ginsberg (1926 / 1997) is a representative poet of the "broken generation" in the American literary world in the last century. His long poem howl plays an important role in American poetry in the 20th century. In 2010, A film of the same name, based on Ginsberg's representative poem howl, directed by Rob Epstein, brings the controversial, crumbling poet back to life. Instead of linearly recounting Allen Ginsberg's life, the film focuses on his experience in the 1950s and revolves around the birth of howl. The animated interpretation of "howl", a poem with a special texture of the 1950s, revolved around the publication of howl, which directly reflected the case of the powerful collision of values in that era. The data collection and interviews with Ginsberg himself are three important components of the film, combined with a classic picture of recitation and jazz background music, making it a unique charm and success for the film to jump out of the conventional chronograph pattern. From the above five parts and their powerful fusion, this paper will analyze how the film reproduces the background of the era of the "broken Generation" relatively truly and how to make the viewer willing and able to go through this form of reproduction. Understand and understand the times and the people of that era. The paper begins with the analysis of the reappearance of "howl" poem in the film. There is no doubt that howling is a true portrayal of the background of the time at that time, as the main line throughout the film. In the black-and-white screen, Ginsberg's recitation at the "six galleries" bar and the highly post-modern animated insertion of poetry-based animations interpret the "howl" poem in all directions from the abstract and the concrete, with jazz as the background music. Thus reappear the background of the times behind the microcosm. Secondly, focusing on the lawsuit about whether the content of "howl" is "obscene", we can deepen our understanding of the poem by testimonies. The trial of this poem in court is essentially the examination of the marginal culture of the whole society, the process of the collapse literature trying to legalize itself, and the innocence of howling also indicates the progress of the "collapse" culture. Finally, through the analysis of the personal visit to Ginsberg, the author reproduces his important life story and thought course, at the same time, through the understanding of the representative characters of the "broken generation", we can better understand the era. The "broken Generation" literary trend of thought in the United States, which originated in the 1950s, is a wonderful interpretation of poetry "howling" and a re-exploration of the "broken" literature represented by Ginsberg. Triggered more people to re-read Ginsberg, re-read the "broken Generation."
