[Abstract]:Roadside picnic is the debut of new director Bi Gan, the film won numerous awards at home and abroad, after the release of a wave of praise. Inspired by the Jinggang Sutra, the film tells the life story of Chen Sheng, a doctor in Guizhou mountainous area. The protagonist embarked on a wonderful search for the accomplishment of his mother's wish. On the way to a dream-like encounter and farewell to the characters in the play of emotion and entanglement. The film uses many images creatively to outline the inner world of the protagonist, and expresses the director's deep understanding of life and time by means of rich art. The film is advanced in concept, full of personality, mature in technique, novel in technology, peculiar in conception and clear in line.
