【摘要】：看待描述美國印第安人的電影的角度很多；為了這項(xiàng)研究項(xiàng)目,我選擇了關(guān)于種族滅絕的課題。這篇論文是一個(gè)關(guān)于四部美國現(xiàn)代電影的分析,其主題涉及到從第一批移民到今天美國印第安人的歷史。這篇論文的焦點(diǎn)是這四部電影中關(guān)于美國種族滅絕的陳述。為了批判和消除虛假的陳述和意識(shí)形態(tài),這篇論文的目的在于揭發(fā)大多數(shù)美國電影怎樣掩蓋美國種族滅絕。 關(guān)于這項(xiàng)研究項(xiàng)目的研究問題： 美國電影是否掩蓋美國種族滅絕以及美國電影如何掩蓋這個(gè)事實(shí)?美國電影是否嘗試揭發(fā)美國種族滅絕篇章以及他們曝光的程度是否足夠充分?美國印第安學(xué)者華德·丘吉爾的理論,特別是他的關(guān)于美國種族滅絕的否認(rèn),掩蓋和辯護(hù)的四個(gè)方面進(jìn)行了細(xì)致的研究并且用作于被挑選的電影的分析的框架。華德·丘吉爾關(guān)于對美國種族滅絕的否認(rèn),辯護(hù)和掩蓋的四個(gè)方面是：數(shù)據(jù)操縱；疾��；直接屠殺；最后階段。 這項(xiàng)研究項(xiàng)目發(fā)現(xiàn)美國電影的確掩蓋關(guān)于美國種族滅絕的事實(shí)并且他們是通過避開種族滅絕的話題或通過描述特定的屠殺作為孤立的現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行掩蓋。嘗試揭發(fā)美國種族滅絕特定篇章的電影,他們對美國種族滅絕的曝光作為一個(gè)整體是遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠的。這意味著以特定的屠殺為焦點(diǎn)作為例子,這些電影會(huì)創(chuàng)造出一種這些屠殺是孤立發(fā)生的印象。如果電影制片人知道美國種族滅絕是如何被掩蓋的,他們將會(huì)做更好的準(zhǔn)備來公開這個(gè)事實(shí)。這項(xiàng)研究項(xiàng)目建議：利用掩蓋的方法(從丘吉爾的四個(gè)方面看到的)來揭發(fā)美國種族滅絕。美國人的身份意識(shí)需要重新檢查因?yàn)樗雎粤嗣绹〉诎踩耸撬闹匾M成部分。印第安電影制作人需要?jiǎng)?chuàng)造一個(gè)回答的論述并且印第安人需要控制他們自己的形象。
[Abstract]:There are many ways to view movies about American Indians; for this project, I chose the subject of genocide. This paper is an analysis of four modern American films on the history of American Indians from the first settlers to the present day. The thesis focuses on the narrative of the American genocide in the four films. To criticize and eliminate false statements and ideologies, this paper aims to reveal how most American films cover up American genocide. Research questions on this research project: Do American films cover up genocide in the United States and how do American films cover up this fact? Are American films trying to uncover genocide in the United States and are they sufficiently exposed? American Indian scholar Walter Churchill's theory, especially his denial of American genocide, concealment and defense of the four aspects of the detailed study and used as a framework for the analysis of selected films. Ward Churchill's four aspects of denial, defense, and concealment of the American genocide are: data manipulation; disease; direct slaughter; and the final phase. The study found that American films do cover up the facts about genocide in the United States and they conceal it by avoiding the topic of genocide or by describing specific massacres as isolated phenomena. Films that attempt to expose a particular chapter of American genocide are far from enough to expose the American genocide as a whole. This means focusing on specific massacres as an example, and these films create the impression that these massacres are isolated. If filmmakers knew how the American genocide had been covered up, they would be better prepared to make it public. The project suggests using cover-up methods (as seen in Churchill's four aspects) to expose the American genocide. American identity needs to be rechecked because it ignores American Indians as an important part of it. Indian filmmakers need to create an answer and Indians need to control their own image.
