【摘要】:從十九世紀(jì)第一位華裔女演員黃柳霜亮相好萊塢開始到二十世紀(jì)八九十年代,眾多華人女影星紛紛走出國門,進(jìn)軍好萊塢,試圖在美國電影界爭得一席之地。但她們總是被好萊塢塑造為異國情調(diào)的“奇觀”,多以魅惑危險的“龍女”或迷人神秘的“中國娃娃”形象出現(xiàn)在銀幕上。客觀地說,好萊塢型塑的這些華人女性形象,并不完全是某些好萊塢電影制作人的主觀臆想,而是以好萊塢為代表的美國文化的一種他者建構(gòu),也即是美國人的“社會集體想象物”。1997年,007系列電影之《明日帝國》(Tomorrow Never Dies,1997)中首次出現(xiàn)了中國女特工形象——林`u,她以敏捷干練的身手馳騁于好萊塢銀幕,開辟了“功夫女郎”這一好萊塢對華人女性的新的表現(xiàn)模式。隨后,不斷出現(xiàn)借助中國功夫活躍于好萊塢大銀幕的華人女性,她們除卻身懷絕技,武藝高強,身手敏捷這一共性之外,又個性鮮明,姿態(tài)萬千,形態(tài)各異,成為了好萊塢電影人物畫廊中一抹靚麗驚艷的色彩。本文以好萊塢視域下的華人功夫女郎為研究對象,探究好萊塢視域下華人功夫女郎形象的具體呈現(xiàn)模式,將好萊塢影片中的華人功夫女郎形象分為特工、殺手和俠女三類來進(jìn)行類型分析,探討各類形象的共性特征及相互間的差異,并挖掘各類形象背后的文化意蘊及形象異同根源。論文內(nèi)容主要包括四章。前三章選取《明日帝國》、《霹靂嬌娃》、《臥虎藏龍》、《尖峰時刻Ⅱ》、《X-戰(zhàn)警Ⅱ》五部電影中的華人功夫女郎為主要研究對象,同時結(jié)合其他多部好萊塢影片中的華人功夫女郎形象進(jìn)行類型分析,具體對特工、殺手、俠女三種類型形象的外形特征、性格特點等進(jìn)行細(xì)致解析。第四章對上述三類功夫女郎形象進(jìn)行不同角度、不同維度的比較和對照,指出相互間的共性和差異,并結(jié)合比較文學(xué)形象學(xué)、媒介學(xué)、變異學(xué),女性主義、東方學(xué)等理論,在前三章的基礎(chǔ)上對形象類型的成因、形象類型背后的文化機(jī)制,以及不同形象類型之間的異同根源進(jìn)行深入挖掘和闡釋。
