電影作為20世紀(jì)以來發(fā)展迅速且影響廣泛的現(xiàn)代媒介,已經(jīng)深入到社會生活的方方面面。近年來不僅本土電影產(chǎn)業(yè)蓬勃發(fā)展,隨著全球化進(jìn)程的不斷推進(jìn),外國電影也源源不斷涌入中國市場。一部好的影片要想取得可觀的票房,一個抓住觀眾眼球的片名至關(guān)重要。很多學(xué)者將西方的翻譯理論應(yīng)用到電影片名的翻譯實(shí)踐之中,以探索翻譯英文電影片名的策略和方法。20世紀(jì)70年代興起的德國功能學(xué)派打破了傳統(tǒng)翻譯研究的文本中心論,使譯者更多地關(guān)注譯文和譯文接受者,更多地關(guān)注譯文的社會反映效果和交際的功能。諾德的功能主義目的論集德國功能目的論學(xué)派之大成,其“功能加忠誠”理論和文本分析理論對翻譯實(shí)踐有重大的指導(dǎo)意義。而電影片名是文化交流的窗口,片名本身承載著促進(jìn)文化傳播和增加商業(yè)價值的功能。翻譯英語電影片名需要充分考慮文本本身的功能和預(yù)期達(dá)成的效果,進(jìn)行語言轉(zhuǎn)換,從而實(shí)現(xiàn)翻譯目的。因此,本文在諾德的功能主義目的論的指導(dǎo)下,研究電影片名的翻譯策略和翻譯方法。首先,通過了解和分析英語電影片名翻譯,目的論和諾德的功能主義目的論的研究現(xiàn)狀,找到本文的切入點(diǎn),即諾德的功能主義目的論。其次,對英語電影片名的類型和功能進(jìn)行簡單的概括和歸納,再次,...
