【摘要】：本次翻譯實踐報告的文本題為Chinese Life Writing:Themesand Variation,選自瑪喬麗·德賴伯勒(MaijorieDryburgh)和莎拉·當西(SarahDauncey)所編的Writing Lives in China,1600-2010:histories of the Elusive Self。原文是一篇學術(shù)論文,用詞正式,句子復雜,前后文聯(lián)系緊密,對于那些對英文不熟練的讀者來說,想要理解文章的意思十分困難。作為一名翻譯專業(yè)的學生,我認為這樣的文本才比較有挑戰(zhàn)性,因此,我選擇了對這篇文本進行翻譯,進而對翻譯過程中遇到的各種問題進行了分析。在翻譯的時候,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)使用直譯的方法會使譯文顯得佶屈聱牙,所以譯者選擇在翻譯中采用轉(zhuǎn)換的方法。論文采取了案例分析法,將譯文中用到的轉(zhuǎn)換進行了分類�？偟膩碚f,論文結(jié)構(gòu)分為兩部分。第一部分主要從時態(tài)、結(jié)構(gòu)、詞性和單位對譯文中的翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換進行了分析。這一部分的分析主要從字詞句的層面介紹了翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換中用到的各種技巧。第二部分主要從熟語和銜接兩個部分來分析。這部分不再單純地分析字詞句的對應,而是在考慮具體語境甚至文化等因素后,對譯文中的轉(zhuǎn)換進行分析。通過分析,論文作者發(fā)現(xiàn),對于一些用詞復雜、結(jié)構(gòu)嚴謹?shù)奈恼?在翻譯時僅追求字詞句的對應已經(jīng)無法滿足讀者的期望,好的譯文應該要把作者隱藏在文章的觀點和態(tài)度顯化出來。因此,在分析翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換時,作者一方面借鑒先前學者的研究,從字詞句的角度分析了譯文中用到的轉(zhuǎn)換;另一方面,作者還分析了文章的整體邏輯,考慮了特定語境和文化因素,從整體的角度把握翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換的運用。
[Abstract]:The translation practice report is entitled Chinese Life Writing:Themesand variation, selected from Writing Lives in China 1600-2010: histories of the Elusive Self. edited by Marjorie Dryburgher and Sarah Dangxi. The original is an academic paper with formal words, complicated sentences and close links. It is very difficult for those who are not proficient in English to understand the meaning of the article. As a student majoring in translation, I think this text is more challenging, so I choose to translate the text, and then analyze the problems encountered in the process of translation. In translation, the translator finds that literal translation makes the translation appear clumsy, so the translator chooses to use the method of conversion in translation. The paper adopts the case analysis method to classify the transformation used in the translation. In general, the structure of the paper is divided into two parts. The first part analyzes the translation transformation in terms of tenses, structures, parts of speech and units. This part mainly introduces the techniques used in translation from word to sentence level. The second part mainly analyzes the idiom and cohesion. This part not only analyzes the correspondence of words and sentences, but also analyzes the transformation of the target text after considering the specific context and even the cultural factors. Through analysis, the author finds that for some complicated and well-structured articles, the translation of words and sentences can no longer meet the expectations of readers. A good translation should manifest the author's views and attitudes hidden in the article. Therefore, in the analysis of translation transformation, on the one hand, the author analyzes the translation from the perspective of words and sentences, and on the other hand, the author also analyzes the overall logic of the article. Considering the specific context and cultural factors, we can grasp the application of translation transformation from the perspective of the whole.
