《白狗秋千架》藤井省三日譯本研究

【摘要】:隨著莫言的《豐乳肥臀》等作品獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎后,莫言文學(xué)在中國乃至世界又一次掀起了研究熱潮,眾多領(lǐng)域的研究者都開始關(guān)注和研究莫言在各個時期的作品。《白狗秋千架》是在海外傳播較廣的作品之一,也是被最早外譯的莫言小說之一,文中獨特的文風(fēng)、敘事技巧和文化內(nèi)涵引起了國內(nèi)外很多研究者的研究興趣,但其外譯本風(fēng)格的研究卻并不多見,特別是最早的日譯本研究更是少之又少。本文以有關(guān)先行研究為基礎(chǔ),以日本著名漢學(xué)家、翻譯家藤井省三譯《白狗秋千架》為研究語料,以著名翻譯家紐馬克的關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯法為理論依據(jù),探討藤井省三譯該小說的成功之處,并在翻譯評析過程中,總結(jié)和歸納翻譯的普遍規(guī)律和特殊規(guī)律。英國著名翻譯理論家紐馬克提出的關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯法包括之前提出的語義翻譯和交際翻譯。語義翻譯指“譯者只在目的語句法和語義的限制內(nèi),試圖再現(xiàn)原作者的準(zhǔn)確語境意義”,包括譯出原文的文化認(rèn)知意義、社會交際意義、內(nèi)容聯(lián)想意義、語言學(xué)意義、語用意義、音美意義(包含文字游戲規(guī)則、節(jié)奏、語韻等);交際翻譯就是“盡可能地在目的語中再現(xiàn)原文讀者感受到的同樣效果”,注重譯文讀者的反應(yīng),使原語適當(dāng)?shù)厍鼜淖g語和譯語文化,不給讀者留下疑點或晦澀難懂之處,;關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯法指“指原作或譯語文本的語言越重要,就越要緊貼原文翻譯”,即把語義翻譯和交際翻譯緊密結(jié)合在一起,強調(diào)“緊貼翻譯”,要求原作和譯語文本兼?zhèn)鋬?nèi)容和形式的緊貼。與較大改寫和重組原文的英譯本相比,藤井省三譯《白狗秋千架》的譯文風(fēng)格緊貼原文,可以說是非常忠實地譯出了原文的文化意義、語用意義、內(nèi)容聯(lián)想意義等,并取得了與原文同樣的譯文效果。譯文整體上貼合原文的傷感氛圍,遵循原文的敘事策略,盡可能的展現(xiàn)作品人物的苦難色彩。圍繞著女主角暖的人物關(guān)系,對暖和“我”、暖和蔡隊長、暖和啞巴,用盡量通俗易懂的語言描述每一段人物關(guān)系的悲苦。其中最大最突出的特點是還原了原作中對“高密東北鄉(xiāng)”的描述,整片譯文能讓讀者感受“高密東北鄉(xiāng)”中大片的高粱地、辛苦耕作的農(nóng)民生活、農(nóng)民狹隘落后的思想、主人公“我”面對故鄉(xiāng)的復(fù)雜情緒等。藤井譯本中的主人公悲喜表情描寫、高密東北鄉(xiāng)的特有語言文化、特殊的色彩烘托、特定的白狗意象和秋千架意象,都構(gòu)成了譯文等同于原文的幾大亮點。由此可見,中日兩國具有共同的文化淵源,藤井省三對《白狗秋千架》的解讀和日譯,忠實地再現(xiàn)了原文的語義、風(fēng)格和文學(xué)效果,凸顯了翻譯對于文學(xué)傳播的關(guān)鍵作用,讓更多的譯者更有信心將更多的中國優(yōu)秀作品傳播到國外,讓中國優(yōu)秀的文學(xué)文化產(chǎn)生更大的域外影響,并為中外文學(xué)文化交流提供經(jīng)驗。
[Abstract]:After Mo Yan's works such as "Breast and Fat" won the Nobel Prize for Literature, Mo Yan's literature once again set off a research boom in China and the world. Researchers in many fields have begun to pay attention to and study Mo Yan's works in various periods. "White Dog swing" is one of the most widely spread works abroad, and also one of the earliest translated novels of Mo Yan. Narrative techniques and cultural connotations have aroused the interest of many researchers at home and abroad, but the research on the style of their foreign versions is rare, especially the earliest Japanese versions. This paper is based on the previous research, based on the famous Sinologist and translator Fujii Miyagi's "White Dog swing" as the research corpus, and on the relevance translation method of famous translator Newmark as the theoretical basis. This paper probes into the success of Fujii's translation of the novel, and summarizes the general and special rules of translation in the process of translation analysis. Newmark, a famous English translation theorist, put forward the relevance translation method, which includes semantic translation and communicative translation. Semantic translation refers to "the translator trying to reproduce the exact contextual meaning of the original author only within the limits of the target sentence method and semantics", including the cultural cognitive meaning, the social communicative meaning, the content associative meaning and the linguistic meaning of the original text. Pragmatic meaning, phonetic meaning (including the rules of play, rhythm, rhyme, etc.) communicative translation is to "reproduce the same effect as possible in the target language, focusing on the response of the target readers." The proper submission of the source language to the target language and the culture of the target language without leaving the reader with any doubt or obscurity; the method of associated translation means that "the more important the language of the original or the translated language, the closer it is to the translation of the original text". In other words, semantic translation and communicative translation are closely combined to emphasize "close translation", which requires both the original text and the translated language text to be closely related to the content and form. Compared with the larger English version of rewriting and reorganizing the original text, the style of the translation of Fujii Province's third translation of the White Dog swing can be said to be a very faithful translation of the cultural, pragmatic and content associative meanings of the original text. The translation effect is the same as that of the original text. The translation fits in with the sad atmosphere of the original text, follows the narrative strategy of the original text, and shows the suffering of the characters as much as possible. Around the warm character relationship of the heroine, warm "I", warm Captain Cai, warm mute, use as easy as possible to describe the words of each part of the relationship between the tragedy. One of the biggest and most prominent features is that the original description of "the Northeast Township of Gaomi" has been restored. The whole translation can make readers feel the vast areas of sorghum in "the Northeast Township of Gaomi," the life of hard-working farmers, and the narrow and backward thinking of peasants. The protagonist, "I", faces the complex emotions of his hometown and so on. The description of the protagonist's sad expression in Fujii's translation, the unique language and culture of Gaomi Northeast Township, the special color contrast, the specific white dog image and the swing image all constitute several bright spots of the translation equivalent to the original text. From this we can see that China and Japan share the same cultural origin. The interpretation and Japanese translation of three pairs of "White Dog swing" in Fujii Province faithfully reproduce the semantics, style and literary effect of the original text, and highlight the key role of translation in literary communication. More translators are confident that more and more excellent Chinese works will be disseminated abroad, and that the excellent Chinese literature and culture will have greater extraterritorial impact and provide experience for the exchange of Chinese and foreign literature and culture.
