隨著中國國力的日益強(qiáng)大,中國學(xué)術(shù)文化成果也應(yīng)大力走出去。為提升我國文化軟實(shí)力,2010年國家社科基金設(shè)立了中華學(xué)術(shù)外譯項(xiàng)目,此后越來越多的學(xué)術(shù)專著外譯,向世界展示了我國學(xué)者的學(xué)術(shù)成果。學(xué)術(shù)專著外譯的質(zhì)量直接決定了中國學(xué)術(shù)成果能否為國際學(xué)術(shù)界了解和認(rèn)可。因此研究學(xué)術(shù)專著翻譯方法,提升學(xué)術(shù)專著翻譯質(zhì)量十分必要。本報(bào)告選取中華學(xué)術(shù)外譯項(xiàng)目之一的《中國官僚政治研究》作為報(bào)告的主要研究對(duì)象。該專著從分析中國社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)形態(tài)入手,梳理了自春秋戰(zhàn)國至中華民國(1912-1949)的這段歷史找出了中國古代官僚政治的產(chǎn)生、形態(tài)和特征,及其與封建社會(huì)長期停滯的關(guān)聯(lián),該專著至今仍具現(xiàn)實(shí)意義。本報(bào)告聚焦該專著第四五章文本的漢英翻譯,翻譯實(shí)踐的主要困難是其文體風(fēng)格,分別體現(xiàn)在其詞匯,句子和語篇層面。最明顯的是其文白混雜的文體風(fēng)格,需要合理考查原文字詞的字面含義、實(shí)際信息、政治語境和文化因素,需要首先完成語內(nèi)翻譯;其詞匯方面,涉及中國古代歷史史實(shí),含有大量政治歷史方面的專業(yè)術(shù)語,需查閱對(duì)照國內(nèi)權(quán)威典籍外譯,適當(dāng)補(bǔ)充有助讀者理解的文史常識(shí);其句法方面,多長句,因而需要梳理句子邏輯關(guān)系,簡潔明了地傳達(dá)信息;在語篇層面,大...
