本文是一篇英漢翻譯實踐報告。原文節(jié)選自美國作家勞倫·K·丹頓所著的長篇小說《隱居處》(第一至第五章)。該書曾榮登《今日美國》和亞馬遜暢銷書排行榜,向讀者講述了一個有關愛與忠誠的動人故事。在此篇翻譯實踐報告中,譯者從詞法層面、句法層面以及對話翻譯討論了翻譯過程中遇到的難點以及相應的解決方法。詞法層面的難點主要體現在文化負載詞的翻譯,一詞多義現象以及詞性的處理上。譯者分別采用了加注法、詞義選擇法以及詞性轉換法。句法層面的難點主要體現在長句及插入語的翻譯,譯者選取了順句操作法、拆譯法以及重組法。對話翻譯的難點在于如何在對話中傳達情感以及如何補足對話內容。譯者通過使用語氣詞和標點符號來傳達情感,并選擇增譯法補足對話內容。此次翻譯實踐使譯者開闊視野,深入了解美國文化,進一步提高了翻譯水平,并且為對這篇小說感興趣的讀者提供了漢語譯本,為他們深入了解美國文學提供了一定幫助。同時,譯者希望本次翻譯實踐及本篇翻譯實踐報告可以為對小說文本翻譯感興趣的人提供一定的參考。
