本論文是一篇英譯漢翻譯實踐報告,翻譯原文選自20世紀美國好萊塢先鋒制片人塞繆爾·高德溫的自傳《銀幕之后》的前五章。原作從個人回憶錄的視角,描寫了美國19世紀末至20世紀初這一時期的電影行業(yè)的發(fā)展,默劇時代長片電影的興盛,以及作者在好萊塢的創(chuàng)業(yè)史,同時還介紹了當時部分著名銀幕藝術(shù)家的幕后生活。自傳中體現(xiàn)的創(chuàng)新精神與敢于開拓的勇氣,能鼓舞廣大青年對繼續(xù)堅持創(chuàng)業(yè)夢想,同時文中描繪的藝術(shù)家們對藝術(shù)理想的執(zhí)著追求,也能啟發(fā)年青一代樹立理性的偶像觀。本報告分為五個部分,第一部分主要是翻譯任務(wù)描述。第二部分是對譯者翻譯過程的記錄,其中譯者的譯前準備與斯坦納的信任運作相關(guān)聯(lián)。第三部分則介紹了斯坦納闡釋運作模型及其在傳記翻譯中的適用之處。第四部分是本報告的核心部分。受斯坦納的翻譯思想的啟示,譯者在第四部分對本次傳記文本翻譯策略與方法選擇進行了實例分析。第五部分是對整個翻譯實踐經(jīng)驗與問題的總結(jié),其中包括對傳記翻譯中的譯者主體性的新認識。原文的內(nèi)容和情節(jié)緊湊,并多用修辭手段來凸顯其幽默風(fēng)格,為了能向目標語讀者傳達出這種原文風(fēng)格,對譯者來說,在詞匯和句法層面上都有一定的挑戰(zhàn)。故而譯者采用了斯坦納的侵入與融合運...
