本文為英譯漢實踐報告,以印第安小說《手繪鼓》(The Painted Drum)第一章為范本,旨在結(jié)合第一章譯文典型案例分析《手繪鼓》中的翻譯問題。隨著印第安文學(xué)在美國文學(xué)中地位不斷提高,印第安作家也逐漸把自己融入主流文學(xué)中�！妒掷L鼓》是一部具有濃烈的印第安文化氣息的小說,譯者希望通過翻譯《手繪鼓》使中國讀者更深入地了解印第安文化,增進中國文化與印第安文化的交流。該小說作者是路易絲·厄德里克(Louise Erdrich),她被譽為美國當(dāng)代最天才的印第安作家,也是最具影響力的當(dāng)代美國本土作家。該小說以女主人公費耶的視角口述了美國原住民的生活,故事情節(jié)曲折動人。目前《手繪鼓》英譯漢翻譯工作在國內(nèi)外尚未展開,本報告對該小說第一章進行了翻譯。通過英譯漢翻譯實踐,譯者在詞法、句法和修辭方法層面解決了一些問題。例如:在詞法方面,譯者運用了一詞多義,增詞法和漢語四字詞;在句法方面,譯者運用了語態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)換、順句操作、句式重構(gòu)和變詞為句;在修辭手法方面,譯者運用了明喻、暗喻、和排比。通過對該篇詞匯、句式以及修辭等方面的潤色和調(diào)整,譯文顯得更加貼切、合理以及順暢。然而,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)譯文的實際翻譯效果與預(yù)期翻譯效...
