本研究基于《習近平談治國理政》第一卷、第二卷中的用典及其英譯語料,從系統(tǒng)功能語言學角度出發(fā),探討用典及其英譯的元功能怎樣對等這個基本問題。系統(tǒng)功能語言學的三大元功能包括概念功能、人際功能和語篇功能,概念功能包括邏輯功能和經(jīng)驗功能兩個子功能。本研究根據(jù)邏輯功能、經(jīng)驗功能、人際功能和語篇功能的本質(zhì)特征,對《習近平談治國理政》中用典的英譯認真篩選,選取有代表性的50句用典及英譯語料。同時,把它們分為五類案例進行對比分析,力求遵照系統(tǒng)功能語言學評估模式,從情景、功能、語言三者互動的角度對原文與譯文進行微觀層面分析,考察譯文在三種功能或意義上與原文是否對等。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),《習近平談治國理政》第一卷、第二卷中的用典及其英譯在優(yōu)劣對等、精準對等和寓意對等三個角度實現(xiàn)了對等。這從元功能理論維度、語言層次維度和級階維度這三個維度予以呈現(xiàn)。第一個維度是,從元功能理論和優(yōu)劣對等來看,基于“案例對比分析”的探析判斷,有以下發(fā)現(xiàn):首先,當今有不少研究對等翻譯的學派,但從形式角度考慮居多,少見對用典英譯的語言學研究。本研究每類“案例對比分析”離不開語言功能分析,彌補了該研究的不足。其次,三大功能本來是三位一體,不分...
