作為一種間接言語行為,委婉語是一種常見的語言現(xiàn)象,它在人們的日常生活中使用得相當(dāng)廣泛,也是語言交際中人們協(xié)調(diào)相互關(guān)系的重要策略。在社會生活中,人們必不可少地要與他人接觸,談話時使用委婉語能夠掩蓋一些讓人不高興的、尷尬和威脅面子的事物。通過使用委婉語,人們可以避免言語措辭過于直白而給對方造成傷害。作為語言交際中的一種“潤滑劑”,委婉語能保留雙方交流者的面子,幫助提高交際效果和保持融洽的人際關(guān)系。國內(nèi)外學(xué)者對委婉語的研究并非是近幾年才出現(xiàn)的新興產(chǎn)物,并且已取得了令人欣喜的進(jìn)步,但是之前的研究大多集中在詞匯層面,把委婉語放在語境中的研究很少。語用學(xué)就是把特定的話語放在特定的語境中,去探索在不同語境下是怎樣使用語言的。基于前人的研究成果,本文以Verschueren的順應(yīng)理論為理論框架,試圖從語用學(xué)角度分析并解釋委婉語是如何順應(yīng)語境的。具體的說,語言使用者,心理世界,社交世界等交際語境是如何制約并影響委婉語在交際中的使用,進(jìn)而探討怎樣在交際中使用恰當(dāng)?shù)奈裾Z。從交際語境對委婉語進(jìn)行研究,可以幫助我們?nèi)チ私馊藗兊乃季S、語言及文化,有助于消除文化障礙,并對跨文化交際有一定的啟示。本文共分五章。第一...
