這是一篇英漢翻譯報(bào)告。筆者基于《黑夜知道》(第1-7章)的翻譯實(shí)踐撰寫了該論文。這是美國驚悚小說大師迪恩·孔茨所作的一本驚悚小說,它講述了偵破連環(huán)謀殺案的整個(gè)過程。原文包含了大量的對話、環(huán)境描寫和人物描寫,因此譯者在翻譯時(shí)特別需要特別注意保留原文中懷疑和緊張的感覺。在翻譯過程中,由于英漢兩種語言間的差異和對相關(guān)的西方文化知識的缺乏,譯者遇到了許多實(shí)際上的困難。因此,該翻譯報(bào)告的目的就是分析翻譯中遇到的困難和相應(yīng)的翻譯方法。這些問題分為三類,分別是詞匯難點(diǎn),句法難點(diǎn)和篇章難點(diǎn)。前者包含了文化負(fù)載詞、武器和裝備的術(shù)語、詞性和多義詞的翻譯難點(diǎn)。譯者采用了添加腳注、添加插圖和腳注、詞性轉(zhuǎn)換和詞義引申等方法解決詞匯方面的問題。句法難點(diǎn)包括語義理解困難的句子和直接引語的口語化表達(dá),譯者采用了拆分和省略的翻譯方法。擬聲詞和四字結(jié)構(gòu)的運(yùn)用以及改譯法解決了語篇方面遇到的困難,包括懸念氣氛和人物描寫的翻譯。通過這一翻譯實(shí)踐,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)不同的翻譯可以在表達(dá)效果和讀者的反應(yīng)上帶來很大的差別。因此,在翻譯過程中,譯者應(yīng)始終注意譯文與原文的對等程度。譯者要根據(jù)小說的氣氛,盡量保留原文恐怖和懸疑的效果,并選擇適當(dāng)?shù)谋磉_(dá)方式,然后深入研究原文的細(xì)節(jié),采取適當(dāng)?shù)姆g策略。
