【摘要】：中國(guó)是世界上擁有鄰國(guó)最多的國(guó)家。我國(guó)與周邊國(guó)家的雙邊關(guān)系經(jīng)歷了多種變化,尤其自冷戰(zhàn)結(jié)束之后,有的雙邊關(guān)系在友好的水平上長(zhǎng)期穩(wěn)定,有的雙邊關(guān)系則是大起大落,還有的在低水平上停滯不前。閻學(xué)通等著《中國(guó)與周邊中等國(guó)家關(guān)系》一書(shū)運(yùn)用定量分析的方法,深入地分析了中國(guó)與其周邊五個(gè)中等國(guó)家雙邊關(guān)系的發(fā)展規(guī)律,預(yù)測(cè)了今后雙邊關(guān)系發(fā)展的趨勢(shì),對(duì)中國(guó)有效地處理與周邊國(guó)家的雙邊關(guān)系以及中國(guó)的和平崛起具有重要的參考價(jià)值。該書(shū)入選國(guó)家社科基金中華學(xué)術(shù)外譯項(xiàng)目候選書(shū)目,其英譯有助于對(duì)外傳播中國(guó)學(xué)者的研究成果,對(duì)中外學(xué)術(shù)交流做出貢獻(xiàn)。該書(shū)尚未有英譯本問(wèn)世,因此該書(shū)英譯具有必要性及原創(chuàng)性。本選題以《中國(guó)與周邊中等國(guó)家關(guān)系》第一章“定量衡量雙邊關(guān)系的作用、等級(jí)概念和啟示”萬(wàn)余字為漢英翻譯對(duì)象。該章主要介紹了運(yùn)用定量分析的方法探索中國(guó)雙邊關(guān)系發(fā)展的主要規(guī)律,尤其是與其五個(gè)周邊中等國(guó)家的雙邊關(guān)系,包括韓國(guó)、越南、巴基斯坦、澳大利亞和印尼;揭示出定量衡量中外關(guān)系所得到的啟示。譯者基于對(duì)本章的英譯實(shí)踐,撰寫(xiě)了翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告,內(nèi)容包括選題的背景、意義及必要性、原文分析和翻譯過(guò)程分析等。該文在寫(xiě)作風(fēng)格上簡(jiǎn)約、明晰,具有很強(qiáng)的客觀性、邏輯性、信息性、論證性,體現(xiàn)出典型的學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)言風(fēng)格,屬于非文學(xué)、再現(xiàn)類文本。在該章英譯過(guò)程中,基于對(duì)原文的文本分析和具體的翻譯目標(biāo),譯者制定的基本翻譯原則是,一方面既能保持原文的價(jià)值觀念、理論形態(tài)和表述方式,另一方面,使譯文體現(xiàn)出政治社科類文獻(xiàn)的特征,以期能夠向西方當(dāng)代學(xué)術(shù)和讀者過(guò)渡和表述,達(dá)成有效溝通的目的。在翻譯策略上,主要以非文學(xué)性的歸化翻譯為主,異化為輔。在翻譯方法上,在遣詞、造句和謀篇上靈活運(yùn)用各種方法,以貫徹翻譯原則,落實(shí)翻譯策略。本翻譯項(xiàng)目的總體目標(biāo)是,力圖使英譯文達(dá)到英文學(xué)術(shù)論著出版的水平,以對(duì)外傳播中國(guó)當(dāng)代學(xué)術(shù)研究成果、促進(jìn)中外學(xué)術(shù)交流。
[Abstract]:China has the most neighboring countries in the world. The bilateral relations between China and the neighboring countries have undergone many changes, especially since the end of the Cold War, some bilateral relations have been stable on a friendly level for a long time, some bilateral relations have fluctuated greatly, and others have stagnated at a low level. Yan Xuetong and his book, the relationship between China and the surrounding Middle countries, used a quantitative analysis method to analyze in depth the development law of bilateral relations between China and its neighboring five middle countries, and predicted the development trend of bilateral relations in the future. It has important reference value for China to deal effectively with bilateral relations with neighboring countries and the peaceful rise of China. The book has been selected as a candidate bibliography for the Chinese academic translation project of the National Social Science Foundation. Its English translation is helpful to disseminate the research results of Chinese scholars and contribute to the academic exchanges between China and foreign countries. There is no English translation of the book, so it is necessary and original. In the first chapter of "the relationship between China and its neighboring countries", "quantitative Measurement of the role of bilateral Relations, hierarchical Concepts and implications" is taken as the object of Chinese-English translation. This chapter mainly introduces the main rules of the development of China's bilateral relations by means of quantitative analysis, especially the bilateral relations with its five neighboring countries, including Korea, Vietnam, Pakistan, Australia and Indonesia. It reveals the enlightenment of quantitative measurement of Sino-foreign relations. Based on the translation practice in this chapter, the translator has written the translation practice report, which includes the background, significance and necessity of the topic, the analysis of the source text and the analysis of the translation process. This paper is simple, clear, objective, logical, informative and argumentative in writing style, which embodies the typical academic language style, belongs to non-literature and reproduces the text. In the process of translating this chapter, based on the text analysis of the original text and the specific translation target, the translator formulates the basic translation principles: on the one hand, he can maintain the value, the theoretical form and the expression of the original text; on the other hand, he or she can maintain the value of the original text. The translation reflects the characteristics of the political and social sciences literature in order to achieve the purpose of effective communication by transitioning and expressing to the contemporary western academic and readers. In terms of translation strategies, non-literary domestication is the main approach, and foreignization is secondary. In terms of translation methods, various methods are used flexibly to carry out translation principles and translation strategies. The overall goal of this translation project is to achieve English translation to the level of publication of English academic works in order to disseminate Chinese contemporary academic research and promote academic exchanges between China and foreign countries.
