【摘要】：本文是一篇英漢翻譯報(bào)告,所選文本《暗夜女王》是澳大利亞作家琳恩·霍爾(Leanne Hall)的青少年文學(xué)作品。譯者選取了第十二章至第二十一章進(jìn)行英漢翻譯,譯文共計(jì)33,000余字。所譯部分主要講述了男主人公杰思羅(Jethro)與女主人公妮婭(Nia)的感情發(fā)展以及二人一起探索保羅失蹤原因的故事。本報(bào)告中,譯者從詞匯、句法等角度說(shuō)明了此次翻譯實(shí)踐中遇到的難點(diǎn),并且舉例分析解決這些難點(diǎn)所采取的翻譯方法。例如,對(duì)于原文中的地點(diǎn)名詞,譯者采用音譯法(transliteration)、意譯法(semantic translation)及增譯地點(diǎn)通名法(adding semantic explanations at the end)。此外,對(duì)于派生于其他詞類的名詞,譯者則采用了詞類轉(zhuǎn)換法(conversion);針對(duì)原文中的省略部分,譯者使用增譯法(amplification);針對(duì)復(fù)合句,譯者則運(yùn)用句式重構(gòu)法(reinvention of the sentence structures)進(jìn)行翻譯。原文作者運(yùn)用獨(dú)特的雙視角,通過(guò)豐富的心理刻畫(huà)、場(chǎng)景描寫(xiě)及人物對(duì)話,創(chuàng)作了一個(gè)曲折離奇的故事。此文本的翻譯有望幫助讀者更加深入地理解原文,并為其他翻譯此類文本的譯者提供參考。
[Abstract]:This paper is an English-Chinese translation of the selected text, Queen of Darkness, by Australian writer Leanne Hallanne Hallanne. The translator selects chapters 12 to 21 for English-Chinese translation with a total of more than 33000 words. The translated part mainly tells the story of the development of the relationship between the protagonist Jethroy and Nia) and the story of the two men exploring the cause of Paul's disappearance together. In this report, the translator explains the difficulties encountered in translation practice from lexical and syntactic perspectives, and gives examples to analyze the translation methods used to solve these difficulties. For example, for the place nouns in the original text, the translator uses transliteration, free translation and semantic translation, and adds the place to add semantic explanations at the endings. In addition, for nouns derived from other parts of speech, the translator adopts the part-of-speech conversion method; for the elliptical parts of the original text, the translator uses the incremental translation method to amplify the meaning of the noun; for the compound sentence, the translator uses the method of sentence reconstruction to aid in the translation. The author uses a unique dual perspective, through rich psychological portrayal, scene description and character dialogue, to create a zigzag and strange story. The translation of this text is expected to help readers to understand the original text more deeply and to provide reference for other translators who translate such texts.
