【摘要】:21世紀(jì)以來(lái)世界發(fā)生的變化不勝枚舉,而全球化就是其中不可不提的一項(xiàng)。隨著現(xiàn)代科技的發(fā)展,世界正變得越來(lái)越小,而不同文化之間思想的交流也顯得愈來(lái)愈重要。了解一個(gè)國(guó)家的傳統(tǒng)文化是理解該國(guó)當(dāng)下的主要途徑之一。將當(dāng)代中國(guó)學(xué)者的中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化研究論著外譯對(duì)于中國(guó)文化的對(duì)外傳播具有重要意義。中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化博大精深,源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng),而傳統(tǒng)審美文化則是其中最為絢爛的一部分。漢語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)論著《中國(guó)審美文化簡(jiǎn)史》按照時(shí)代順序,從史前到近代,一步步對(duì)中國(guó)的審美文化歷史資源進(jìn)行了挖掘,并以圖相輔,為人們呈現(xiàn)了一個(gè)多姿多彩的中國(guó)審美傳統(tǒng)。該書(shū)至今仍未有英譯本出版。因此,該書(shū)的英譯具有必要性和原創(chuàng)性。本選題的翻譯對(duì)象為《中國(guó)審美文化簡(jiǎn)史》第十八章“清代的典雅文化和批判精神”萬(wàn)余字。該章主要介紹了典雅文化和批判精神在清代書(shū)法、篆刻、建筑、文學(xué)以及繪畫(huà)方面的體現(xiàn)。該文本屬于人文社科類作品,其風(fēng)格兼具學(xué)術(shù)性和文學(xué)性。譯者根據(jù)自己對(duì)第十八章的漢英翻譯實(shí)踐,撰寫(xiě)了翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告,內(nèi)容包括選題背景和意義、原文分析、翻譯過(guò)程、難點(diǎn)分析等。在翻譯過(guò)程中,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)在翻譯過(guò)程中對(duì)原文信息進(jìn)行必要的增補(bǔ)和刪減構(gòu)成了一個(gè)翻譯難點(diǎn),因此將譯者在翻譯實(shí)踐中實(shí)施的增譯和減譯處理專辟一章進(jìn)行報(bào)告。翻譯過(guò)程當(dāng)中,基于各種相關(guān)因素,譯者制定的總體翻譯原則是,譯文準(zhǔn)確傳達(dá)原文的實(shí)質(zhì)內(nèi)容,即理論思想和學(xué)術(shù)觀點(diǎn),同時(shí)不但符合英文學(xué)術(shù)行文要求,也要適當(dāng)體現(xiàn)原文的文化特點(diǎn)。為此,譯者采取的翻譯策略是以歸化為主,異化為輔。在語(yǔ)言操作層面,譯者靈活運(yùn)用了多種翻譯方法。原文涉及許多名家名作和各種歷史事件,在翻譯這些文化元素時(shí),譯者采用了多種譯法,其中注重了對(duì)原文文化元素的翻譯增刪處理,增譯主要體現(xiàn)為翻譯中適當(dāng)添加連接詞、增補(bǔ)背景信息等,而減譯主要用以減少譯文的冗余信息,例如,中文中慣用多個(gè)不同的詞來(lái)表達(dá)同一意思,而英文則崇尚簡(jiǎn)潔,因此譯者采取減譯的方式進(jìn)行處理。通過(guò)適當(dāng)增減不但能使文章內(nèi)容更明確,還能讓譯文結(jié)構(gòu)更符合英文習(xí)慣,由此提高可讀性。本翻譯項(xiàng)目的總體目標(biāo)是,力圖使英譯文達(dá)到英文學(xué)術(shù)論著出版的水平,以對(duì)外傳播中國(guó)當(dāng)代學(xué)術(shù)研究成果、促進(jìn)中外學(xué)術(shù)交流。
[Abstract]:Globalization is one of the many changes that have taken place in the world since the 21 st century. With the development of modern science and technology, the world is becoming smaller and smaller, and the exchange of ideas between different cultures is becoming more and more important. Understanding a country's traditional culture is one of the main ways to understand the present. The translation of contemporary Chinese scholars' works on Chinese traditional culture is of great significance to the dissemination of Chinese culture. Chinese traditional culture is extensive and profound and has a long history, and traditional aesthetic culture is the most splendid part of it. A brief History of Chinese Aesthetic Culture in accordance with the order of the times, the Chinese academic treatise "A brief History of Chinese Aesthetic Culture" excavates the historical resources of Chinese aesthetic culture step by step from prehistoric to modern times, and gives people a colorful Chinese aesthetic tradition. The book has not yet been published in English. Therefore, the English translation of the book is necessary and original. The translation object of this thesis is "A brief History of Chinese Aesthetic Culture", Chapter 18, "elegant Culture and critical Spirit of Qing Dynasty". This chapter mainly introduces the elegant culture and critical spirit in the Qing Dynasty calligraphy, seal cutting, architecture, literature and painting. This text belongs to the works of humanities and social sciences, and its style is both academic and literary. According to his translation practice in Chapter 18, the translator has written a report on translation practice, including the background and meaning of the topic, the analysis of the original text, the process of translation, the analysis of difficulties, and so on. In the process of translation, the translator finds that the necessary additions and deletions of the original information in the translation process constitute a difficulty in translation, so he reports on the addition and subtraction of the original information implemented by the translator in translation practice. In the process of translation, based on various relevant factors, the overall translation principle formulated by the translator is that the translation accurately conveys the substantive content of the original text, that is, the theoretical thought and academic point of view, and at the same time not only conforms to the requirements of the English academic writing. We should also properly reflect the cultural characteristics of the original text. Therefore, the translation strategy adopted by the translator is mainly domestication, supplemented by alienation. At the level of language operation, translators use various translation methods flexibly. The original text involves many famous works and various historical events. In translating these cultural elements, the translator adopts a variety of translation methods, in which emphasis is placed on the addition and deletion of the cultural elements of the original text, which are mainly reflected in the proper addition of connectives in the translation. Background information is added, while subtractive translation is mainly used to reduce redundant information in the translation. For example, in Chinese, many different words are used to express the same meaning, while in English, simplicity is advocated. Therefore, the translator adopts the method of reducing translation to deal with the same meaning. It can not only make the text more clear, but also make the translation structure more in line with English habits, thus improving readability. The overall goal of this translation project is to achieve English translation to the level of publication of English academic works in order to disseminate Chinese contemporary academic research and promote academic exchanges between China and foreign countries.
