【摘要】:本文依據(jù)概念隱喻理論,原型范疇理論,意象圖示理論,及射體界標(biāo)理論,以動(dòng)詞SET為例,從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)角度對一詞多義現(xiàn)象展開研究。本文數(shù)據(jù)源于牛津高階英漢雙解詞典,朗文當(dāng)代英語辭典,劍橋英語學(xué)習(xí)詞典,朗文高階英語詞典及Brown語料庫。采用定量與定性分析相結(jié)合,進(jìn)行個(gè)案研究的研究方法,選取SET作為研究對象。首先,從各個(gè)權(quán)威字典中搜集出SET的23條義項(xiàng),接下來從Brown語料庫中隨機(jī)抽取416個(gè)關(guān)于SET一詞的句子樣本進(jìn)行研究。其次,作者依據(jù)概念隱喻理論把SET的所有義項(xiàng)及有效數(shù)據(jù)分為字面意義(基本義及增添)和隱喻意義,并通過Brown語料庫統(tǒng)計(jì)出其各個(gè)義項(xiàng)的數(shù)量及比例。并再次,筆者從認(rèn)知角度對增添和隱喻義進(jìn)行了分類研究。本文著重分析了 SET一詞的隱喻意義是如何以原型意義為基礎(chǔ)產(chǎn)生的。研究結(jié)果表明,SET符合一詞多義的拓展機(jī)制。從Brown語料庫可以看出,SET的字面義使用頻率最高;SET的增添意義可以分為七種類型;SET的隱喻意義可以從9個(gè)方面進(jìn)行分析;依據(jù)不同類型的目標(biāo)域,SET的隱喻意義又可以分成四類。最后,從理想化認(rèn)知模型出發(fā),將SET詞義分成四種認(rèn)知模型進(jìn)行分析。本文從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)角度印證了 SET意義延伸是以原型意義為基礎(chǔ)通過隱喻意象圖示等認(rèn)知手段獲得的,進(jìn)一步驗(yàn)證了認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的理論。一個(gè)詞的多個(gè)義項(xiàng)是語言歷時(shí)發(fā)展過程中,人類體驗(yàn)現(xiàn)實(shí)世界的結(jié)果,從而得出人類不斷的認(rèn)識世界是以體驗(yàn)哲學(xué)為基礎(chǔ),用已知熟悉的事物去認(rèn)識未知不熟的事物。
[Abstract]:Based on the conceptual metaphor theory, the prototype category theory, the image representation theory, and the theory of projective boundary markers, this paper, taking the verb SET as an example, studies the polysemy of a word from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. The data are derived from Oxford High order English-Chinese Dictionary, Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, Cambridge English Learning Dictionary, Longman High order English Dictionary and Brown Corpus. Using quantitative and qualitative analysis, a case study method is adopted, and SET is selected as the research object. First, 23 meanings of SET are collected from various authoritative dictionaries, followed by a random sample of 416 sentences about the word SET from the Brown corpus. Secondly, according to the Conceptual metaphor Theory, the author classifies all the meanings and valid data of SET into literal meaning (basic meaning and addition) and metaphorical meaning, and calculates the number and proportion of each meaning by Brown corpus. Thirdly, the author classifies addition and metaphorical meaning from the perspective of cognition. This paper analyzes how the metaphorical meaning of SET is based on archetypal meaning. The results show that set accords with the expansion mechanism of polysemy. It can be seen from the Brown corpus that the added meaning of set can be divided into seven types: the metaphorical meaning of set can be analyzed from 9 aspects, and the metaphorical meaning of set can be divided into four categories according to different types of target domain. Finally, according to the idealized cognitive model, SET is divided into four cognitive models. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, this paper verifies that the extension of SET's meaning is based on the prototype meaning through cognitive means such as metaphorical imagery representation, which further verifies the theory of cognitive linguistics. The multiple meanings of a word are the result of the human experience of the real world in the course of the development of language, and it is concluded that the human being's constant understanding of the world is based on the philosophy of experience, and the unknown unfamiliar is recognized by the known familiar.
