大學(xué)公共英語學(xué)習(xí)需求與課程設(shè)置及實施效果研究

【摘要】:隨著全球化的發(fā)展,英語作為國際通用語言,在高校的人才培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)中占據(jù)了重要地位。2007年教育部發(fā)布《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》,2013年,上海高校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會基于上海市社會和經(jīng)濟發(fā)展情況發(fā)布了以學(xué)術(shù)英語為導(dǎo)向的《上海市大學(xué)英語教學(xué)參考框架》(試行),都對大學(xué)的公共英語課程提出了明確的指導(dǎo)和要求。高校在英語課程建設(shè)中投入了大量人力物力,同學(xué)們也在英語學(xué)習(xí)中投入了大量時間和精力。然而,2015年的一項畢業(yè)生調(diào)查結(jié)果顯示,畢業(yè)生進入崗位之后,英語能力并未得到相應(yīng)的重視。為了了解畢業(yè)生在崗位中的實際英語需求和對英語學(xué)習(xí)的反思建議,以及在校生的英語學(xué)習(xí)效果、滿意度和對英語課程的需求,從而在此基礎(chǔ)之上提出相應(yīng)的改善建議,調(diào)整高校的公共英語課程設(shè)置,有效提高畢業(yè)生英語水平和個人素養(yǎng),提升高校教學(xué)質(zhì)量。本研究首先對國有企業(yè)、私營企業(yè)、政府機關(guān)和外資企業(yè)共12名畢業(yè)生進行了訪談,了解其所在行業(yè)和崗位對個人英語能力的需求和使用情況以及對大學(xué)公共英語課程的反思建議。此外,采用自編問卷對上海市三所不同層次的高校進行了調(diào)查,共回收有效問卷547份。問卷調(diào)查結(jié)果表明目前公共英語課程實施過程中存在幾個問題:(1)內(nèi)部動機不足,學(xué)習(xí)投入少;(2)英語能力薄弱,學(xué)習(xí)效果不佳;(3)課程滿意度低,需求尚未滿足。結(jié)合畢業(yè)生訪談和在校生問卷調(diào)查結(jié)果,本文總結(jié)了目前大學(xué)公共英語課程設(shè)置中存在的問題:課程結(jié)構(gòu)單一,選擇空間過小;課程設(shè)置偏離目標(biāo),需求尚未滿足;課程內(nèi)容缺乏趣味性,考核方式效度不足;學(xué)生投入不足,學(xué)習(xí)效果有待改善;四、六級考試反撥教學(xué),課程趨向應(yīng)試。基于這些問題,高校應(yīng)該增加外語課程類別,形成科學(xué)合理的課程體系;改善英語教學(xué)內(nèi)容和方式,調(diào)整考核方式;豐富課下活動,營造語言環(huán)境;加強引導(dǎo),提高學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)動機;在政府層面,應(yīng)該加快英語水平考試改革,從而反推高校課程調(diào)整。最后,對研究中存在的不足進行了反思總結(jié),并對進一步的研究提出了和展望。
[Abstract]:With the development of globalization, English, as an international common language, plays an important role in the goal of talent training in colleges and universities. In 2007, the Ministry of Education issued the requirements for College English Curriculum, 2013,Based on the social and economic development of Shanghai, the Shanghai College English Teaching steering Committee has issued the reference Framework for College English Teaching in Shanghai, which is guided by academic English.Clear guidance and requirements are put forward.Colleges and universities have invested a lot of manpower and material resources in English curriculum construction, and students have also invested a lot of time and energy in English learning.However, a survey of graduates in 2015 showed that English proficiency was not taken seriously after graduates entered their jobs.In order to understand the actual English needs of the graduates in their posts and their reflective suggestions on English learning, as well as the students' English learning effects, their satisfaction and their needs for English courses, the corresponding suggestions for improvement are put forward.To adjust the curriculum of public English in colleges and universities, to effectively improve the English level and personal accomplishment of graduates, and to improve the teaching quality of colleges and universities.In this study, 12 graduates from state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, government agencies and foreign-funded enterprises were interviewed.Learn about the needs and use of personal English skills in their industry and position, as well as the reflective suggestions for college public English courses.In addition, a total of 547 valid questionnaires were collected from three universities in Shanghai.The results of the questionnaire survey show that there are several problems in the implementation of public English curriculum: lack of internal motivation, weak English learning ability, poor learning effect, low satisfaction and unsatisfied needs.Based on the results of interviews with graduates and questionnaire survey of college students, this paper summarizes the existing problems in the curriculum of college public English: the curriculum structure is single, the choice space is too small, the curriculum design deviates from the target, and the demand has not yet been met.The content of the course is short of interest, the validity of the examination method is insufficient; the students' input is insufficient, and the learning effect needs to be improved; fourth, the CET-6 backwash teaching, the course tends to be examination-oriented.Based on these problems, colleges and universities should increase foreign language curriculum categories, form a scientific and reasonable curriculum system, improve English teaching content and methods, adjust assessment methods, enrich after-class activities, create a language environment, and strengthen guidance.At the government level, we should speed up the reform of English proficiency examination and push back the curriculum adjustment in colleges and universities.Finally, the shortcomings of the research are reviewed and summarized, and the further research is put forward and prospected.
