【摘要】： 圖騰崇拜是將某種動物或植物等物體視作與本氏族有親屬或其他特殊關系的崇拜行為。澳大利亞土著是我們在近現(xiàn)代所能觀察到的最原始的人類,澳大利亞也被稱之為圖騰崇拜的古典地域。本文的研究目標包括早期的澳大利亞土著以及現(xiàn)在仍以傳統(tǒng)方式生活的現(xiàn)代土著。此研究對于了解人類的早期文明有著較高的認知價值。 本文主要論證了圖騰崇拜三個方面的功能。首先,文章分析了圖騰崇拜的社會控制功能。圖騰崇拜是最早的社會組織體系,有著區(qū)分群體,維系社會組織和維護和平與穩(wěn)定的功能。圖騰崇拜也是土著人的法律體系,具有警告和保護功能,懲罰功能以及調(diào)解和仲裁功能。 其次,本文解釋了圖騰崇拜是土著人的原始宗教,它有著重要的社會心理功能,主要表現(xiàn)為教化功能,道德功能,心理安慰功能和社會認同功能。 最后,本文分析了圖騰崇拜和外婚制的關系,以及外婚制的三大功能。其一,防止了近親婚配所帶來的不良影響,促進了人種的進化。其二,消除了氏族內(nèi)部的性競爭,促進了氏族內(nèi)部的團結。其三,它還是各氏族之間的社會黏合劑。圖騰崇拜是澳大利亞土著人的行為規(guī)范,它貫穿著他們生活的方方面面。對其功能的研究有助于了解澳大利亞土著的原始文明,了解圖騰崇拜如何規(guī)范他們的社會生活。
