一代儒僧的精神求索與文化貢獻(xiàn)

【摘要】:本論文從多個(gè)角度,對(duì)李叔同一生的著述作一概覽。通過(guò)文本的梳理與解讀,思想的折射,比照他出家前后的各方面文字,試圖從中探尋其走入佛門的種種跡象,力圖找到其出家最為有力的依據(jù),并初步探討他對(duì)中國(guó)文化多領(lǐng)域的貢獻(xiàn)以及當(dāng)代出現(xiàn)“弘學(xué)熱”的原因。 李叔同的文本皆使用文言文,并善用古體,著述體例多樣、數(shù)量巨大,多為當(dāng)代讀者所不熟悉。筆者大抵依照姚鼐的《古文辭類纂》的分類方法,將其著述分成十類文體。在探討弘一法師多達(dá)400萬(wàn)字之巨的佛學(xué)著述時(shí),涉及到目錄學(xué)、?睂W(xué)、注釋學(xué)等學(xué)科,這些專門的知識(shí)都是筆者平時(shí)極少接觸的,但他后期的貢獻(xiàn)又集中表現(xiàn)在這些領(lǐng)域。于是借鑒當(dāng)代學(xué)者的“古籍整理學(xué)”新說(shuō),嘗試進(jìn)行若干論析。 李叔同開(kāi)創(chuàng)了中國(guó)現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)教育、戲劇表演、藝術(shù)廣告等多個(gè)領(lǐng)域的先河,然而他又止于開(kāi)創(chuàng)各種“先河”而已。考其一生,真正體現(xiàn)其成就的,是在佛學(xué)領(lǐng)域。他后半生的苦行僧生活及弘法著述活動(dòng),應(yīng)是他出家之謎最好的答案。本文對(duì)出家前后的文本全面觀照,力圖對(duì)他的出家之謎有一個(gè)更為客觀的把握。李叔同早年的詩(shī)詞曲作品反映出的名士才情氣質(zhì)以及他對(duì)人生境界的不斷探索、對(duì)完美人格的終生追求的宗教氣質(zhì),是促使他出家的內(nèi)因,而社會(huì)環(huán)境、時(shí)代背景則是外緣。與實(shí)現(xiàn)社會(huì)抱負(fù)相比較,他更注重自我才情的發(fā)揮和精神的獨(dú)立性,相對(duì)地叛離了傳統(tǒng)文人的入世道路,最終將自己的人生導(dǎo)向了宗教一途。 值得指出的是,李叔同出家后的著述鮮為流傳也鮮為人知,而律學(xué)著述又是他傾注心血最多的一項(xiàng)工作,也是其最有成就的部分。他自己講“因律學(xué)專門之撰述,出版之后,無(wú)人能讀,難于流通”,另一個(gè)原因就是有在家人不能誦律的禁戒。前人在這方面所做的專門性研究成果甚少。本文從古籍整理學(xué)的角度介紹他在佛籍整理方面所做的貢獻(xiàn),以展示他出家后的成就,亦是一種嘗試。 當(dāng)代興起弘學(xué)熱,是有其深刻的社會(huì)根源的,即新世紀(jì)的焦慮、思想的饑荒與佛教的復(fù)興。在結(jié)語(yǔ)中也試探著進(jìn)行了分析。
[Abstract]:This thesis makes an overview of Li Shutong's works from many angles. Through the combing and reading of the text, the refraction of the thought, comparing with the various characters before and after he became a monk, the author tries to find out all kinds of signs of his walking into Buddhism, and tries to find the most powerful basis for his monastic life. His contributions to various fields of Chinese culture and the reasons for the emergence of "Hongxue craze" are also discussed. Li Shutong's texts all use classical Chinese, and make good use of the ancient style, the writing style is various, the quantity is huge, most are not familiar to the contemporary readers. According to Yao Nai's classification method, the author divides his writings into ten styles. In the discussion of Hongyi Master's 4 million words of Buddhist writings, it involves the subject of bibliography, collation, annotation and so on. These special knowledge are seldom contacted by the author, but his later contributions are concentrated in these fields. Therefore, draw lessons from contemporary scholar's "ancient book collation study" new theory, try to carry on a number of analysis. Li Shutong pioneered many fields such as modern art education, theatrical performance, art advertising and so on. It is in the field of Buddhism that the test of his life truly embodies his achievements. His later life as a ascetic monk and his Dharma writing activities should be the best answer to his monastic mystery. This paper tries to have a more objective understanding of his monastic riddle. Li Shutong's early poems and songs reflect the talent temperament of famous people, his constant exploration of the realm of life, and the religious temperament of his lifelong pursuit of perfect personality, which are the internal reasons to promote him to become a monk, while the social environment and the background of the times are external. Compared with the realization of social ambition, he paid more attention to the exertion of self-talent and the independence of the spirit, and defected the traditional literati's entry into the WTO, and eventually led his life to religion. It is worth pointing out that after Li Shutong became a monk, his writings were seldom known, and his writings on law were his most painstaking work and his most successful part. He said, "after publication, no one can read it, but it is difficult to circulate." another reason is that there are prohibitions in the family that cannot recite the precepts. Previous research on this aspect of the specialized research results are very few. This paper introduces his contribution to the arrangement of Buddhist books from the perspective of ancient books collation to show his achievements after he became a monk, which is also an attempt. There are profound social roots in the rise of Hongxue fever in contemporary times, that is, anxiety in the new century, famine in thought and the revival of Buddhism. In the conclusion, the author also makes a tentative analysis.
