20世紀70年代以來美國華裔宗教信仰探析

【摘要】： 華人大批移民美國至今已經(jīng)160年的歷史了,目前美國華人近354萬,是人數(shù)最多的亞裔群體。在宗教色彩濃厚的美國,華裔的宗教信仰也是備受關(guān)注的話題。調(diào)查顯示,美國華裔宗教信仰以基督教為主,其次是佛教,再次是道教、儒教及其他中國傳統(tǒng)民間信仰,總體上呈現(xiàn)多樣性特點。作為一個沒有宗教傳統(tǒng)的民族,華人在美國更多的選擇了基督教,個中原委,值得探究。而中國傳統(tǒng)宗教及民間信仰在異鄉(xiāng)的發(fā)展也是我們關(guān)注的問題之一。由于母國文化傳統(tǒng)與移民接納國文化之間存在巨大差異,美國華裔宗教信仰表現(xiàn)出特殊性,并在各方面產(chǎn)生了重要影響。本文主要從三個方面論述:第一部分介紹20世紀70年代以前,美國移民政策變化及信仰概況,作為大背景;第二部分詳細闡述20世紀70年代以后美國華裔基督教、佛教、道教、儒教及其他宗教信仰情況,以基督教為重點,是本文的主體部分;第三部分,基于前兩部分的論述,歸納華裔宗教信仰特點,分析變化原因,并總結(jié)其重要影響。 華裔宗教信仰研究,拓寬了華人研究的新視角,希望本文的寫作能對該領(lǐng)域研究起到拋磚引玉的作用。
[Abstract]:It has been 160 years since the large number of Chinese emigrated to the United States. At present, nearly 3.54 million Chinese in the United States are the largest Asian group. In the United States with strong religious color, the religious belief of Chinese people is also a subject of much concern. The survey shows that Chinese American religious beliefs are mainly Christianity followed by Buddhism Taoism Confucianism and other traditional Chinese folk beliefs. As a nation without religious tradition, Chinese choose Christianity more in America. The development of Chinese traditional religion and folk belief in foreign land is also one of our concerns. Because of the great difference between the culture tradition of the home country and the culture of the host country, the Chinese American religious belief shows its particularity and has an important influence in all aspects. This article mainly discusses from three aspects: the first part introduces the changes of American immigration policy and beliefs before the 1970s, as the background, the second part elaborates the Chinese American Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism after the 1970s. Confucianism and other religious beliefs, focusing on Christianity, is the main part of this paper. The third part, based on the first two parts, summarizes the characteristics of Chinese religious belief, analyzes the reasons for the change, and summarizes its important influence. The study of Chinese religious beliefs broadens the new perspective of Chinese studies and hopes that the writing of this paper will serve as a source of inspiration for the research in this field.
