中土佛教“迎像”風俗小探

【摘要】：中土寺廟中僧俗供養(yǎng)的佛像,除了一些就地塑造難以移動以外,大都是從他處請來的。當信徒在迎請這些佛像時,會伴隨一定的儀式,然后安置到寺廟等處供養(yǎng)。這種請像的過程統(tǒng)稱為迎像,以"迎"顯示對佛像的虔敬。而迎請佛像的目的除了作為僧俗的供養(yǎng)外,還有其他一些具有民俗特征的功能和目的,如:祈雨、治病、鎮(zhèn)寺、懺悔、妝點法會、祈福、種因果,不一而等。
[Abstract]:Buddhist statues provided by monks in Middle Earth temples are mostly imported from other places, except that they are hard to be molded in place. As believers greet the statues, they are followed by rituals and placed in temples and other places. The process of asking for a statue is generally referred to as "greeting" to show reverence for the Buddha statue. The purpose of accepting Buddha statue is not only to offer it as a monk's custom, but also to have some folklore functions and purposes, such as praying for rain, curing illness, town temple, repentance, makeup law, blessing, causality, and so on.
