“五德終始說(shuō)”之理論邏輯與現(xiàn)實(shí)困境——以王莽代漢立新為中心的討論

【摘要】:建基于宇宙系統(tǒng)信仰之上的"五德終始"學(xué)說(shuō)是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)政治哲學(xué)中論證建立政權(quán)合法性的重要理論工具。西漢初年開(kāi)始,以"五德相勝"為基礎(chǔ)展開(kāi)了一場(chǎng)漢承何德的討論;到了西漢末年,以劉歆為代表的儒生又以"五德相生"為中心為王莽的代漢立新進(jìn)行合法性論證。從"五德相勝"到"五德相生"的這一轉(zhuǎn)換,既有理論自身發(fā)展的邏輯可循,同時(shí)又與現(xiàn)實(shí)政治的發(fā)展密切相關(guān)。但"五德終始說(shuō)"作為闡釋政權(quán)合法性的基本理論,其自身的困境與局限也不容忽視。新王朝的開(kāi)創(chuàng)者可以憑借"五德終始說(shuō)"來(lái)論證建立政權(quán)的合法性,那么長(zhǎng)久執(zhí)政合法性的論證與維系,就已經(jīng)遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出"五德終始說(shuō)"所能涵蓋的范圍。這一困境與尷尬在王莽代漢立新的政治事件中表現(xiàn)得尤為明顯,亦在某種程度上決定了它在宋以后逐漸被消解與揚(yáng)棄的命運(yùn)。
[Abstract]:Based on the system of faith "Five Virtues" theory is an important theoretical tool to establish proof of political legitimacy China traditional political philosophy. In the early Han Dynasty began to "five interchecking" as the basis for discussion of a Chinese bearing holder; in the Western Han Dynasty, with Liu Hsin as the representative of the Confucian scholars as "the students" as the center for Wang Mang's new generation of Chinese legal argumentation. From the "Five - phase" to "the transformation of five students", both the logical theory of their own development, while development and politics are closely related. But the "Five Virtues" as the explanation of the basic theory of legal regime in nature, its own difficulties and limitations can not be ignored. A pioneer of the new dynasty with "Five Virtues" to demonstrate the establishment of the legitimacy of the regime, so long to maintain the legitimacy of the ruling and demonstration, it has been far beyond the theory "" This dilemma and embarrassment is particularly evident in Wang Mang's new political events. It also determines to a certain extent that it has been gradually dissolved and abandoned after Song Dynasty.
