【摘要】：本文原題為"Old Institutionalism",選自R.A.W.羅德斯(R.A.W.Rhodes)主編的《牛津政治制度手冊》(The Oxford Handbook of Political Institutions,The Oxford University Press,2006)第六章。羅德斯教授曾任英國政治研究協(xié)會主席,其后擔任該協(xié)會終身副主席。從新舊分野的角度來看,新制度主義政治學作為當代西方政治科學的主導范式,不僅推動政治制度研究內容的更新,也極大擴展了政治制度研究領域的范圍。然而,在承認新制度主義政治學具有系統(tǒng)化理論形式并注重研究方法的同時,對于新制度主義將傳統(tǒng)制度研究簡單概括為舊制度主義,以及將后者研究特點歸納為法律主義、結構主義、整體主義的做法,卻鮮有政治學者提出批評。本文不僅質疑了政治科學中制度研究的喜新厭舊現(xiàn)象,還創(chuàng)造性地論述了寓新于舊的合理性。具體而言,羅德斯教授挖掘、梳理了政治制度研究中現(xiàn)代主義/經驗主義、正式/法律、觀念論與社會主義等四個傳統(tǒng),并將其與新制度主義政治學的理性選擇制度主義、歷史制度主義、建構論制度主義、網絡制度主義四個流派分別予以聯(lián)系,既豐富了對舊制度主義研究傳統(tǒng)的深刻認識,也有助于理解以新制度主義為代表的當代英美政治科學研究的局限所在。
[Abstract]:The original title of this paper is "Old Institutionalism". Selected from the Oxford Handbook on political institutions, edited by R.A.W. Rhodesby R.A.W. Rhodes. (. The Oxford Handbook of Political Institutions. The Oxford University Pressn (2006) Chapter 6th. Professor Rhodes was president of the British Association for political Studies. From the perspective of the separation between the new and the old, the political science of neo-institutionalism, as the dominant paradigm of contemporary western political science, not only promotes the updating of the content of political system research. However, the new institutionalism political science has a systematic theoretical form and pays attention to the research methods at the same time. For the new institutionalism, the traditional institutional research is simply summarized as the old institutionalism, and the characteristics of the latter are summed up as legalism, structuralism and holism. However, few political scholars criticize. This paper not only questions the phenomenon of "love for the new and weariness of the old" in the study of political science, but also discusses the rationality of combining the new with the old. Specifically, Professor Rhodes excavates. It combs the four traditions of modernism / empiricism, formalism / law, idealism and socialism in the study of political system, and compares them with the rational choice of institutionalism and historical institutionalism in the politics of neo-institutionalism. The four schools of constructivism institutionalism and network institutionalism are linked to each other, which enriches the profound understanding of the research tradition of the old institutionalism. It also helps to understand the limitations of contemporary British and American political science research represented by neo-institutionalism.
