【摘要】：20世紀(jì)20年代末至30年代初,南京國民政府與英、美、日等國進(jìn)行了以取消列強(qiáng)在華條約權(quán)利為目的的談判,而廢除治外法權(quán)是談判中的一項(xiàng)重要內(nèi)容。以下這組電文①反映了1931年初美國政府就此問題與英國協(xié)商,以求協(xié)調(diào)英美在談判中的立場,以及美方對(duì)廢除在華治外法權(quán)的態(tài)度。
[Abstract]:From the late 1920s to the early 1930s, the Nanjing National Government negotiated with Britain, the United States and Japan to cancel the treaty rights of the great powers in China, and the abolition of extraterritorial jurisdiction was an important part of the negotiations. The following message 1 reflects the US government's consultation with Britain on this issue in early 1931 in an effort to reconcile the US and British positions in the negotiations and the US attitude towards the abolition of extraterritorial jurisdiction in China.
