【摘要】：20世紀20年代末至30年代初,南京國民政府與英、美、日等國進行了以取消列強在華條約權利為目的的談判,而廢除治外法權是談判中的一項重要內容。以下這組電文①反映了1931年初美國政府就此問題與英國協(xié)商,以求協(xié)調英美在談判中的立場,以及美方對廢除在華治外法權的態(tài)度。
[Abstract]:From the late 1920s to the early 1930s, the Nanjing National Government negotiated with Britain, the United States and Japan to cancel the treaty rights of the great powers in China, and the abolition of extraterritorial jurisdiction was an important part of the negotiations. The following message 1 reflects the US government's consultation with Britain on this issue in early 1931 in an effort to reconcile the US and British positions in the negotiations and the US attitude towards the abolition of extraterritorial jurisdiction in China.
